KIARA LOOKED BETWEEN ALL OF THE members of Elite for the fifth time, trying to think of some kind of excuse before any of them asked her any questions. So when the dancer who was stood up front asked her what she was doing there, she had already fathomed an excuse—she just hoped that it was good enough that she wouldn't get into trouble.

"I have no idea how i'm going to get myself out of this situation. I just hope they believe me."—Kiara

The dirty blonde swallowed thickly before replying to the girl, feeling intimidated under the stern gaze of their studio head. "I'm interested in joining your studio." She lied. Kiara had always been good at that. She didn't like people knowing how she felt all the time, she hated pity, she didn't like sympathy. So just like she would hide if she was upset, she hid that she was secretly desperate to get out of there just as well, trying to maintain the cool bitchy look that usually rested upon her features instead of faltering under pressure.

"Im hoping that if i tell them i'm here to audition, they'll believe me and either kick me out so I can go back to the next step, or let me quickly audition and then let me leave and then i can go back to the next step. Either way i'm not staying."—Kiara

"I actually just left another studio and i'm looking for something better." She lied, although she hated the fact that she was belittling the Next step. They were by far the best studio she had been at and she had no plans of leaving just yet.

The girl who had first spoken to her when she got caught walked a little closer to the dirty blonde, "Really?" She asked and Kiara panicked slightly, worried that could see straight through to the fact she was lying. "Then why don't you show us what you've got." The girl smirked, clearly underestimating the girl before her. But that just annoyed Kiara, left a burning in her chest to prove her wrong.

So when all of the other dancers walked to the other side of the room, she slipped off her shoes and took her place in the middle, trying to ignore all of the doubtful looks she was receiving from the troupe.

Kiara knew she loved dance, she always had, but she didn't realise how much it calmed her until she began to dance before Elite. Allowing her tension to dissipate with every kick, turn and hair flick until the music was over and she felt much more confident in her story.

"So, what do you think?" She asked, anticipating a response and to her surprise the man before her smiled. One of success?

"Actually, I think we could use someone like you on our team." He surveyed, and the dancers around her all nodded. That filled her with relief. Not only because that meant she must have done something good, but also because that meant she could finally go home. Finally go back to The Next step.

And when she quickly hurried out if the door, grabbing her shoes and phone after the studio head had told her he would be in touch, she was met with James on the other side of the door. But no van.

So in a hurry—after James had told her how relieved he was she hadn't gotten in trouble—the pair searched up the closest bus station on the dirty blondes phone, quickly clicking off the video of Elite—bringing bad a feeling of discomfort for them both—and after very brisk walk, a very stressful bus ride and two dollars forty five cents later, the pair arrived at their studio.

Just in time to hear Chris ask, "Do you guys know where James and Kiara are?" The dancers all looked around awkwardly after the question and Kate seemed to have to fight off a grin when she thought about the pair that were missing. But none of the dancers had time to answer before the pair burst through the doors.
