Take  Note:

To all potential judges, when judging the books, please look out for the plus points and minus points. No book is flawless, and there is always room for improvement, even if it a full stop. Keep this in mind.

Title, Cover and Blurb (15 points, 5 points each):

1. Is the cover interesting enough to make you want to read the book?

2. Is the cover related to the title?

3. Does the cover, title or blurb give away any spoilers?

4. Is the title attention-grabbing?

5. Does the blurb relate to the story?

6. Is the blurb intriguing?

7. Was the cover badly designed? (e.g. Used someone's gmail account pic or just a random photo)

Introduction (10 points):

1. Does it introduce any characters?

2. Is there any writer tools (Cliffhangers, Foreshadowing, etc) involved?

3. Does it give any too much?

4. Does it leave the reader wanting to read more?

Pace and fluidity (20 points):

1. Are there sentences that are too short or too long? This should not be done unless intentional.

2. Are there many 'author's note's in the story? There should not be any filler chapters and every chapter must have a role in the storyline.

3. Is the time pace too fast or too slow? There must not be any huge time jumps (e.g. Two months later...) but it also cannot be too slow (e.g. there must be action).

4. Dialogue and descriptions flow well together. There cannot be too much talking, nor too much descriptions.

Creativity and originality (10 points):

1. Are there too many cliches?
