Last night in my bed I thought about this issue of happiness
Basically, no one is really happy, isn't it?
You're going to tell me : no, I'm happy, everything's fine
It's such a lie
Seriously look yourself straight in the eye in the mirror and ask yourself if you are really happy
You are not happy? What a surprise...
Now let's think
Search among all the people you know, all the people you have already met. In your opinion, how many are really really happy?
Not much, isn't it?
No more than five people?
If in your opinion all the people you know are happy I think you're wrong and surely too naive to read this book
In summary, happiness doesn't really exist, it's just an illusion created by society to give us a reason to live
Before people did not ask themselves the question, they lived to work, for the family, for money. It was like that before.
But it was before.
Now society has evolved and people now need a reason to live to do their job
That's where there began to be a problem. It's after the war
People began to want to be happy, to want to go on vacation, to want to enjoy life.
But all this is just an illusion,
an illusion to make you believe in happiness.
I know it feels like I'm a conspirator
But I swear not
If there would be only one thing to remember, it is that happiness is only an illusion.
But if we resonate in philosophy, happiness cannot exist without unhappiness and therefore vice versa.
So if happiness is only an illusion, unhappiness is only an illusion too.
But hey, I don't want you to have a migraine. I'll surely talk about all this again in a next chapter
And honestly, even for me (who loves philosophy), it's a little too complicated.
