I look outside the window, watching the sky as the moon shone bright in the sky. I felt alone, more alone than I ever had before. I had no one here, I was a no one. The king had been gone for days, I missed him and my heart ached because he had no idea how I felt. I knew I had to leave, I couldn't be here anymore with this feeling of loneliness. It had to stop, I had to stop this. There's a knock at the door, I go to open it and see this other woman. "Can I help you?" I asked, "My name is Louisa. I'm from the other kingdom, as you know our Queen Muriel is staying here and she's asked me to pass on a message." I didn't really want to hear this. "Go on." She glared at me, "Stay away from the King. You have no involvement in his personal matters and you should quit whilst you're ahead. That's all." She turned and walked away. Bitch. I shut the door, as I take a deep breath. Maybe this was best, even if I loved him, I couldn't hold him back. I wouldn't do that to him. I take off the necklace he gave me, putting it on the bedside and leaving the room. I walk along the darkness of the castle, my heart felt like it was about to burst. Just as I leave, I bump into someone. "Shit. I'm sorry." I look up, Jareth's eyes staring down at me. "Where are you off to in such a hurry?" Oh god. "Y/n?" I froze, I couldn't speak. "My love, speak to me." I let go of his hands, before I walk down the steps and I rushed away from the castle quickly.

"Y/n!" He shouted my name, as the tears fell down my face. I walked back through the stone walls, it was like yesterday when I first got trapped in the labyrinth. That was so long ago, all those memories had faded away now. I got back toward the portal, that took me back to the human world. My life before all of this. "Why are you doing this to us?" His voice brought me back. I look back at him, "This isn't my life, Jareth. I'm in the wrong world, this is your world. Your people. This is how you live. It isn't mine, it never was." He shook his head, "You promised that you'd never leave me. You swore to me you'd never walk away." I wipe my tears away, "I have to. I have to go." He grabbed my arms, "Why? What changed your mind? Tell me." I couldn't tell him the real reason, I couldn't. He wouldn't believe me. "You'd never believe me if I told you." He cupped my face, "Tell me why." I sighed, "She made me leave." He frowned, "Who? Who made you leave?" I step back, "I love you." I admitted, he took a breath of relief. "I love you more." He pulled me back into his arms, as I look into his eyes. "I've always loved you, for years. I've loved you for so long." He smiled, "Truth portal." He whispered. "You are such a dick." He laughed, as I hugged him tightly. "Promise me you'll stay. I can't have you running out on me again."

"I'm not going anywhere."
