The echoey nature of the cave made the noise of their steps bounce from wall to wall and eventually back to their ears, everything that made sound similarly did so

Despite it being silent enough to hear our own breathing, the noises were loud enough to irritate Techno's ears

"Let's get through here quickly"
He mutters while walking a bit faster

"gweehh,"
You complain a bit, not being able to keep up with his pace
'Seriously I'll have to achieve superhuman speed to keep up with this pighead'

"Oh c'mon im not that fast you're just slow"

"Don't blame my long legs, its your fault you're so short"

Techno walks back to you and picks you up

"Ugea-"

"Let's just hurry to the trading place alright kiddo"

"Yeah thats what I thought"
He chuckles and starts jogging down the cave

'It really is a wonder, this shabby mineshaft leads to a village?'

Techno mentioned getting you gear but he never mentioned where you were getting it, before you were a bit worried you'd have to do that god awful hike again

But to your surprise there's apparently a whole ass village in the mountain!

'Though I wonder if it'll be as shabby as this cave is'

Y/N sighed as Techno carried them like a small child

'We'll wait a see I guess'

"We're here y/n"
"Gweh?"

'Already??'

"Like I told you, it was faster this way"
You both looked over the the village

Instead of a crappy small cave with 3-5 houses, there was probably over 100 houses there, the walls not stone or andesite but replaced with blue crystals imitating the sky above

The streets were well lit with redstone lamps and sky's littered with hanging flowers and glowing vines, Instead of dirt and gravel there was grass and even farmlands

"Uwahhh"

Techno smiled at your amazed look
"Beautiful right"

As you nod he starts to walk down to the village

"Phil really is amazing, before he took me and Wilbur in he built this, and not only this, he built hundreds of amazing builds with his bare hands"

"He even claims that he killed a dragon and built on top of its grave"

'Wow'

Techno's smile grew wider as he though of his dad's accomplishments, and your wonder and amazement grew as well

When you reached the village it was almost as if you returned home, the fountain in the middle and villagers working away, children playing, and merchants loudly selling their wares

Before you noticed it Techno walked up to a smith shop and started talking to the owner

"O ey Techno what brings you and this little lad 'ere!"

"Hello to you too Ava, this is y/n and im getting gear for them"

Ava looks over the you and brightly smiles
"Really! O well then ay should get some light armor for this kid, probably can't carry heavy metal armor everywhere can ya lad"
You shake your head and Ava turns back to Techno

"So how much will it be and how long will it take?"
Techno asks as he reaches for a pouch

"Eh I'll have it up ready in a jiffy, It'll cost a bit more since I'll hafta make adjustments to size, there aint any armor small enough for your kid"

"Heh- my kid?"

"Ya! Also when did you get a partner, and even had a baby at that! You're partner must be beautiful since this young lad is just so adorable"

Techno and you were a bit stunned for a bit,

"Ay? Tech?"
Ava just happily looked confused while Techno stammered

"Ah- well, uh well, this kid isn't mine Ava, uhm, yeah"

"Huh, is dat so, well sorry Tech' ay got confused since you're holding them like I held my son, really got excited that you finally went out and got a spouse for urself"

Techno slowly let you down, coughing as he went on to change the subject

"Anyways Ava, on the subject of this kid, do you know anything about a sickness or some sort that prevents people from speaking?"

"Gwah-?"
'Why does he want to know that? Wait a minute,'

"A sickness that makes people mute?"
Ava hummed as she thought

"Ay don't know anythin myself but Landi might kno of somethin"
She points towards a home on top of a hill looking over the other homes

"They're the local priest an doctar, hope they'll help with anythin"
Techno nods and sets down a pouch for the armor payment

'Someone can help me speak?'

"Thanks Ava"

"No problemo Tech'! I'll have it ready when you come back"

With that Techno started walk towards the home,,
