Potions swirling and cauldrons boiling, the sight was a bit different than you'd imagine
Landi was alot more younger and timid rather than a tall and stiff figure of a doctor or priest, they were hunched alot and always looked terrified when talking to Techno
Well, anyone would be, the way Techno carries himself makes him seem like a king
But anyway, you'd believe Landi would be an alchemist more than a priest
The only thing that makes them look like a priest are the robes they wear
"Are you finished?"
Techno asked in a demanding tone from across the room
Landi was currently checking your throat to see what was wrong,
"well, uh, they dont have a disease thats preventing them from speaking, but it seems that their-"
"Their what? Spit it out"
"well their vocal cords are damaged, its not to a point where they can never speak again but to the point where they can never speak normally, it seems that they've inhaled alot of smoke which irritated their throat and lungs-"
Landi squeaked out finally
Techno quieted down and got lost in thought for a moment
'Smoke huh'
You say to yourself
Ever since the day your mother burned in that building you've been around fire alot more often, wether you'd like it or not
After uncle took you in he constantly made you keep the fires up, smoke filling up the small compartment you worked in everytime
It makes sense honestly, but you never thought that, that could be the cause
Laughing a bit you dazedly look over to the ceiling
'So I did this to myself?'
Before you could fall down that rabbit hole of thought Landi cleared their throat and spoke up
"If, if you drink a small healing potion every day and rest your voice it can slowly repair itself, but don't drink a high purity potion since it might heal wrong and leave you with an even more fatal injury.."
"A small healing potion everyday?"
Techno questioned as he walked over to Landi and you
"Yes, we have no medication for irritations like this but healing potions might work, it's never been done before so im not certain it will work,,"
"But there's a chance it'll work right"
Landi looked over to Techno and then to you, their worried face slowly relaxed during the conversation
"Yes, there's a 60% chance it'll be successful, a small healing potion with less than 40% purity everyday would help them"
With that Techno smiles, which is something you thought he couldn't do
"Bring us all your small healing potions then Landi"
His gruff almost monotone voice had emotion in them now, a good emotion
Landi left the room and came back with bags of healing potions
"They- they'd all be 10 gold coins"
Without a beat Techno slammed a pouch of coins onto the table and grabbed the bags, he threw them all to the ground but before it hit the floor a light grey floating image absorbed the bags
He opened a door with his back turned to you, his cape flowing majestically as the artificial wind rushed into the building
You could practically hear the anime like music in the background as he turns to you
"Then Y/N, since we've gotten your gear, why don't we find a battlefield to use it on"
'This dramatic pshyco'
You wanted to laugh at him, but you liked this feeling
Lets find an adventure shall we

When you left Landi's place Techno brought you to an adventurers guild, apparently lizardmen, faeries, and all other species alike built a guild here
The pink head is currently looking for a quest for the both of you, but you just have an inkling this crazy pig wont pick a normal starting quest for you
"Hmmm an earth dragon perhaps?"
"Dwahh!?"
'A DRAGON!???"
"Or maybe an elemental gnome would be more beginner friendly, what do you think y/n"
"GREAH WAH OWUJ"
'WHERE ARE YOU GETTING THESE CRAZY QUESTS'
"You're right an elemental gnome would be too easy"
"GWEH"
In your displeasure you look over to the board and read some quests to maybe find one where you wouldn't immediately die
'Kill an evil wizard king'
'Save a village from an ancient curse'
'Murder a demon lord that has taken over our city'
...
You go to read the board sign and see 'Class SSS quests'
...
You grab ahold of Techno's cape and yank it over to the more beginner friendly board
"Heh- hey- Y/N, you orphan what are you-"
When you finished dragging the pig over to the D class quests you randomly selected one and shoved it into his face
"Tsk fine I'll look at your suggestion
As soon as he reads it he blankly looks at you
"A quest to kill boars, really kid?"
"Weh-"
"Eh????"
You turn the paper over to you, and yeah, it really was a quest to kill rabid boars,,,
"Its a quest suitable for you so sure, though you'll be doing all the fighting, you dont expect me to kill my precious brethen do you"
The pigman says chuckling
You just sigh and slump as he goes to register the quest
'I liked it better when he was cold and unreadable, I might lose my sanity if this dramatic pinky keeps teasing me'
But nonetheless, a quest was chosen
You'll be going on an adventure, and maybe soon
You'll be able to speak.
