Starting over

As we go about driving to the surprise, I look out the windows and realize where we're going
"You're bringing me back to Karos? Why's that such a big surprise?"
Touya doesn't respond, but I can see him fighting a smile
Odd
I'm kinda scared to see what he has planned, but I know it wouldn't be anything bad
As we pull up to Karos, I recognize our friends cars out front
Awee, everyone got together to hang out
We park in front with everyone else and Touya rushes to the other side of the car to open my door for me and grab my bags
"What a gentleman" I say, stepping out of the car
He suddenly grabs my hand, closes the door quick, and practically drags me into her house
Once we get to the main living area, I see everyone sitting there with boxes everywhere and snacks on the table
"Hey guys, what's up?"
Karo stands up, looking very proud of herself
"Well, while you two were out today, we went to 'you know who's' house and got your stuff! All of it too, I told his mom what happened and she was piiiiissed and went in with us to make sure we got every last thing"
I looked around at the boxes, realizing I could see in some of the open ones and they did indeed have my stuff in them
I felt myself tearing up, and then I felt everyone hug me
"Thank you guys so much...this means a lot."
"And now, you can move all of your stuff into your new room" Karo says, smiling and opening the storage room in her house to show a now mostly empty and clean room, only containing a bed, a dresser, and a tv on a stand
I, of course, give her a big hug before going in and looking around, planning where I'm going to put everything
Over the next two hours, everyone helps me unpack, set up my bookshelves from my exs, and put everything where I want it
I was planning on putting the clothes away later so I put the box in the corner, but hear
"Damn, how the fuck do you walk around with those things"
I turn around to see Keigo holding up my bra with a look of amazement
We all break out in laughter before Ren snatches it from him and basketball tosses it back into the box it came from
At around 11, people decide to start heading home
I thank them all for everything and Karo heads to bed, leaving only Touya and I
"Thank you so much, for everything today, it really means a lot."
"No need to thank me, I'm just glad I've been able to help. You seemed a lot more relaxed than usual too, it was really nice to see."
"Well, I don't constantly have the fear of someone doing something behind my back now... I was also always scared that he would judge everything I did or said, so I would hold back a lot. Now I'm free of all of that though. I really thought I loved him, but at the same time, the last six months or so have been really bad. I mean, he practically acted like I wasn't there. I'm better off without him, especially with the way all of it made me feel. I'm very aware now of how tense I used to be too. Like, I would always clench my jaw and my shoulders would be so tight...but now...I just feel at ease..."
I look up at Touya and his eyes have already met mine
Were we sitting this close to eachother before?
I watch as his eyes flick from my eyes, to my mouth, and then back to my eyes once before he blinks a few times and looks at his phone
I look down too and see a text from his dad
"Shit, I've gotta get home. I had a really good time with you today" he says, standing from the bed
I stand too and hug him
"I did too. Thank you again Touya"
"Of course" he hugs me a bit tighter before pulling back, looking at me the same way he did before, and then smiling before leaving
I'm suddenly aware of the butterflies in my stomach and lay down on my bed quickly, grabbing my phone and texting my friend Seph
Hey, can I call you?
She calls me within a few seconds and I tell her all about my day, including up to when Touya left
"Waaaait wait wait, you said he looked at your mouth?"
"Uhh yeah?"
"Girl...pleeease don't tell me you're that stupid. I love you, but come on. He looked at your m o u t h"
"Are you saying he wanted to kiss me?"
I can hear her facepalm
"I'm gonna take that as a yes" I say, giggling as I hear her let out a sigh
We talk for a bit longer before we realize how late it is and I lay down for bed
Did he really want to kiss me?
I mean, yeah, he was super nice throughout the day, but kiss me?
He's always been a sweet guy
Seph could be right, but she could also be reading into it, seeing that she doesn't know him
Then again, she does have multiple partners so I feel like she's kinda an expert at this stuff

Touya and I are hanging out at his house
The rest of the family is out for the day, so it's just us
We're watching a movie on the couch in his living room when I feel his hand gently glide against the edge of my leg and sharply inhale
He gets a cocky smile before slowly dragging his finger up onto my thigh
"Is this alright?"
I nod and he goes further and further
He's now turned towards me and the urge to kiss him is growing stronger and stronger
Just as I'm about to do it, he puts his hand on the back of my neck, sliding his fingers up into my hair and pulling me into a kiss
His hand ke-

"Misheru?"
I shoot up out of my sleep and see Karo standing in the doorway, covering her mouth with her hand
"W...what's up?"
"I think I should be the one asking that seeing that you were just making out with your pillow" laughter coming out between her words
"......you speak nothing of this to aaaanyone"
"Alright, I saw nothing, I just came to wake ya up cause I know you wanted to call your job to get a few days off"
I thank her before she leaves the room, picking up my phone to call my job
I explain my situation and that I wouldn't be coming in today, but should be good for my shift two days later
"Oh of course, let us know if you need any more time too"
I thank them and lay back down
This is gonna be an interesting healing period
