(would you believe me if I said that this chapter plus the last two would've been one mega chapter if I didn't cut it into three parts, and then there's still more I cut because the site started lagging after so many words.)
The city guards cowered behind their barricades, not willing to die like most men yearly when battling against the empire they opted for easier choice the only fights they ever got in were disbanding bar fights never would they imagine having to fight demons
Their defense holds as they successfully repel a small pack of hellhounds with spears retreating to the more intimidating demons, that open their maws breathing out a flame
The fire burns the barricade slowly, but human flesh is not as durable as the ones in the epicenter of the blast are left charred corpse those on the edge suffering from blindness due to their eyes burning and throats sweltering from inhaling the flames
One man breaks line only for another demon to land on him breaking his bones before picking the man eating him whole digesting him as a new growing bulge of flesh on it's body grows resembling that of the man's face to join the other faces
Morale broken the hellhounds climbed over broken debris pouncing on the city guards their only escape blocked by a grotesque being that opened it's maw to accept new victims souls of anguished screaming out
???: begone foul beings!!
A line of blood appears on the creature blood seeping from it before half of it's body falls to the side the other slumping revealing a man dressed in noble's clothing cleaning their sword by scrapping the blood with their boots
Behind the man were three more people two carrying the largest of them
???: toss me.
The two let go of the one being carried skidding across the ground lopping heads off of hellhounds coming to a stop
Ainz: I am the adventurer Momon, fall back we'll take over.
The city guards did not budge at his words watching as he cleaved trough the pack that tried to surround him keeping him centered for the demons in the back to prepare their next volley of fire only for their heads to hit the ground severed by the man from before
The street was empty save for limbs and gore the guards surrounding you two in praise for saving them from assured death
Ainz: excellent job Huntsman, we are getting closer.
(Y/n): Momon, if it was like this here I can only suspect the worse elsewhere.
Ainz: I see...after this I will be moving to lead the adventurers' counterattack you fellows will need to hold the line for just a little longer well I guess since I've already taken these guys out the next wave won't be coming so soon, Nabe Evileye you can come get me now.
Ainz: Huntsman, we must part ways for the moment.
Evileye: what? he's required?!
Ainz: I know, but we only need one person to deliver the blow and the other barricades will require help order to hold them at bay.
(Y/n): worry not Red, I'll be there right after assessing everyone is fine.

(Y/n): 'is there a reason for sending me off?'
Ainz: 'we need to build your story up as well, not just mine.'
(Y/n): 'by having me run away from what I'm supposed to be doing?
Ainz: 'running away in order to save other people.'
