We all walked down the long path to the gates with all our packs and gear... I smiled as I looked at the familiar Elven Kingdom. Rivendell was a truly beautiful place, it sat on a cliffside, in front of large, flowing waterfalls. It seemed as though it was meant to be there, blended with the Valley's atmosphere, and didn't disturb any of the pre-existing nature that thrived around it... With open arches and large windows instead of outer walls, delicate carvings into the stone and wood columns, and minimal decor, it's a very elegant Kingdom.

Gandalf strolled to the front as I stood beside him, a familiar Elf walked down the stairs and met us at the main gate.

"Iston i nîf gîn...(I know your face.)"  I joked with a mischievous glare.

"Ma istanyel? (Do I know you?)" He asked, we stared at each other for a few moments before giving in and chuckling. "Mae g'ovannen, Muinthel. (Well met, sister. )"

I smiled, "Gi suilon, Lindir. (Greetings, Lindir.) "

Gandalf smiled at our interaction and Lindir greeted him, "Mithrandir. (Grey wanderer) "

Kili walked over to me after my conversation with my old friend, he had a stern look on his face and held my hand tightly. I looked at him with curiosity, he didn't lay his eyes on me but instead stared at Lindir.

Gandalf smiled... "Ah, Lindir! "

"We heard you had crossed into the Valley. "  Lindir mentioned but the wizard changed the subject.

"I must speak with Lord Elrond. "

"My Lord Elrond is not here. "

"Not here? Where is he? " Gandalf asked but was answered with a horn in the distance.

Aside from Fili who walked over to stand by me and Kili, the company became agitated and made a circle around Master Baggins with their weapons drawn.

The Elves circled the rest of the company on horseback and Lord Elrond rode up to the grey wizard. "Gandalf. "

"Lord Elrond, My friend! Where have you been? " Gandalf greeted.

Elrond got off his horse, "We've been hunting a pack of Orcs that came up from the South. We slew a number near the Hidden Pass.

The elf hugged the wizard, I began to walk over to them but Kili held my hand back, I gave him a reassuring look, and with a nod, he reluctantly let go... Was he jealous?

"So it seems that you aided us with our little problem, Lord Elrond! "  I said with a smile.

The Lord Elf grinned and hugged me tightly, "It's lovely to see you again, Trueheart. [her translated elven last name] Looking healthier than last time we met, I see?"

I nodded and spoke in English and exaggerated my words in an attempt to calm the company down, "Yes, my Lord. I am doing much better thanks to you and the healers here... "

Elrond smirked at me with a knowing look, I moved my gaze to the dwarves and slightly raised an eyebrow, they sheathed their weapons but still stayed on guard. Fili gave me a smirk and a nod, for he definitely knew what I had just done.

The elf noticed Thorin step forward. "Welcome, Thorin, son of Thrain. "

"I do not believe we have met. " Thorin remarked.
