❝ You can't start the new chapter of your life,
if your enslaved by the chains of your past.

- Eunice Santana

---

Five Years Later . . .

Eunice cried as she saw her parent's lifeless body at ang mga nagkalat na bala ng baril palibot sa mga ito. She tried to crawl towards them, habang iniinda ang tama ng baril sa balikat n'ya. Eunice cupped their face using her bloody hands.

"Mom, Dad please, wake up."

She tried to wake them up, but she can't.

It's too late.

They're gone.

"Mom, Dad gumising kayo!" humahagulgol na panimula ng dalaga "Hindi ba sabi n'yo, you want me to see walking down the aisle with the man of my dream. Please don't leave me alone, no one's leaving." pagmamakaawa ni Eunice habang paulitulit silang sinusubukang gisingin.

"This is not true, tell me. Binibiro n'yo lang ako 'di ba? I-cecelebrate pa natin 'yong birthday n'yo bukas, mommy?"

"Mom, Dad, wake up!"

(Wake up!)

Her phone rang aloud that woke her up from a deep sleep and pulled her out of the bed. She woked up by her annoying alarm clock. Eunice immediately picked up her phone, she frowned when she saw the time as well as the date today. It's almost 7:30 in the morning, September 19.

She took their wedding photo which was placed on the study table, and sat at the edge of her bed.

She smiled bitterly.
"Sana, sana kasama ko pa rin kayo ngayon no'. Miss na miss ko na po kayo." she began to cry.

It's been five years, but the pain is still fresh. It seems like It just happened yesterday. Eunice really missed them, she wanted to hug them, to kiss them, pero 'di n'ya magawa. 'Di na n'ya magagawa pa. Mabilis n'yang pinahid ang mga luhang unti-unting tumutulo sa mga mata at inayos ang sarili, after that she walk toward the bathroom to took a quick shower.

She's Eunice Santana, she's already 27 years old but she had never experienced having a great education unlike other girls. Her parents died when she was twenty-two years old, they murdered in front of her and the murderer attempted to kill her. She put her make up on, saka isinunod ilagay ang contact lenses n'ya.
