As The World Caves In -By Lourdes

He walked down the lonely street, looking around at the old, half torn sales sign, the apocalypsis was upon them all, and there he was, one of the last humans who hadn't killed himself, just to watch the end of the end of the world, the atomic bomb, anhilate them all.

With his painted finger nails, and his finest suit that he had worn on his Prom, he grabbed his lovers' hand, he smiled sadly, tears going down his cheecks, as he kissed him one last time.

"We are going down, honey." He said looking at him in the eyes. "But we are going down singing." Then, he took out his old walkman, put their favourite song and they danced to the moonlight, ignoring the sulforic smell of the air, the alarm bells telling the ones left to take refuge because this was it.

"At least we are going out of style." His lover said between sobs.

"Indeed."

They danced throught the rest of the song alone, calmly looking at the others eyes, accepting the fate that was upon them, because when they were together, as the world caved in, they just needed each other.

"I love you." He said, as the world caved in.
