"I was pretty good though, right?" Klaus reminisced as we exited the Meritech building with an unsatisfied Five, "Yeah, what about my consent, bitch?" he dramatized our experience with a giddy laugh.
"Klaus it doesn't matter," Five seethed as he turned to face Klaus and me.
"What's the big deal with this eye, anyway?" Klaus shrugged as I sighed at the incoming argument.
"There is someone out there who's going to lose an eye in the next seven days," Five began as he approached us, "They're gonna bring about the end of life on this earth as we know it."
At this, I looked over at Five in thought. What the fuck is going on? And why won't he talk to me about it, if he apparently 'trusts me'?
Klaus didn't seem to share my sentiment. "Yeah, can I get that 20 bucks, like, now, or what?"
"Your 20 bucks?" Five questioned, obviously not giving two fucks about Klaus' promised money, "The apocalypse is coming, and all you can think about is getting high?"
"Well, I'm also quite hungry. Tummy's a-rumblin'" Klaus replied.
Five looked up at him in shock. "You're useless," he mumbled, "You're all useless!" he shouted as he walked off to sit on the steps nearby.
Drama queen.
"Five, come on, calm down" I suggested as I took a seat on his left and Klaus took a seat on his right.
"Hey, you know, I've just now realized why you're so uptight," Klaus began, "You must be horny as hell!"
"Klaus!" I exclaimed as I reached over to shove his shoulder.
"What? I'm right! All those years by yourself. It's gotta screw with your head, being alone," he explained as we fell into a solemn silence.
Five looked up in thought. "Well...I wasn't alone."
Klaus and I quickly exchanged a look. "Oh? Pray tell," Klaus urged.
"Her name was Delores. We were together for over 30 years," Five explained.
I smiled down at him. Five always seemed like the type to be single forever seeing as he hates almost everyone, but I was happy that he found an exception.
