The three of them locked eyes upon seeing each other. Admiral got the strength to close the door and go over to stand beside the other two. They pulled themselves together and turned to the Chairperson as she smiled.
"I'm glad all three of you are here. Travel Operator, Ranger and Unit. I've watched all three of you grow from merely students at the school just near Vientown to a skilled group of three. I see great potential in you three, even to get farther in your careers. However, you can't grow in your current spots." They glanced at each other, deciding who they were blaming. "So... this is your promotions." They instantly looked at the Chairperson in shock. On the table beside her were three boxes. "Seafoam, why don't you come forward first?"
"I- ok-"
The other two held back their chuckles upon hearing their friend's fear. So much for being the fearless one. She went over and took her box, which was the smallest of the three. She gulped before she opened and stopped.
"Wait..." The Chairperson smiled as she picked up the red device.
"This is your new styler. The Fine Styler." Seafoam scanned it. She knew what this was capable of thanks to Aria. She nodded before stepping back. "Admiral." The Travel Operator froze before Seafoam pushed her forward. She managed to keep moving until the box was in her hands. She gulped, hers being a little bigger. She opened it and paused.
"What..." She picked up the device as the Chairperson smiled.
"The professor made that for you, in order for you to do your job while moving around." Admiral smiled before she went back. "Cedar." He went forward, getting the biggest of the three boxes. He paused at the sight before he spoke.
"Is this to help with-" She nodded.
"Crepe and one of the Top Operators made that for you, knowing you needed something to represent all your tasks." He smiled before he stepped back. "Now that you have your new equipment, it's time you meet the other Top Ranks. Shall we?"
~~~
They went upstairs as Sven bothered the Operators. It didn't last long before he saw the 4 of them and whoever he was bothering nearly knocked him out. The Chairperson sighed.
"Sven..." He gave a weak smile as he went over. "Guys, this is our Sky Ranger, Sven. Well known for maintaining the skies with his Partner Pokemon, Staraptor, who doesn't like being inside." They nodded as she turned to the Sky Ranger. "Sven, these are your new juniors. Cedar as a Top Unit, Seafoam as a Top Ranger and Admiral as a Top TO." They shook hands before she called out to the Top Operators, who were silently discussing something. "You three! It's your turn to introduce yourselves to the new people." A whine seemed to follow.
"Am I allowed to punch Sage afterwards?" A somewhat familiar voice followed.
"No, you can punch Joel. I'll deal with Sage." A female voice chuckled as one of the Top Operators stood up and went over, leaving the two male voices to bicker until she spoke.
"Welcome to the Top Ranks. My name is Luana and I communicate with the Top Ranks in Fiore." A soft yelp followed as the other two went over to join her.
"Uncalled for, Luana..." The taller male smiled as the other guy seemed to get blocked from view. "My name's Crawford. I have to deal with the Top Ranks here and in Oblivia. Not all of them, but the more difficult ones." Sven chuckled as the last person tapped Crawford's shoulder, trying to let him know to move as he was too tall.
"You mean Wendy right? Or does Parchment count too?" Crawford growled a little as Sven continued. "Also, you should move since Mr. Fresh from a few weeks ago can't be seen by just looking over your shoulder." Crawford paused before it hit him.
"Oh! I forgot he stands in- uh-" Luana chuckled as he sidestepped, letting the other Operator have his spot back. Admiral's eyes lit up when a rather familiar redhead appeared.
"Should've practiced..." Luana lost it as the two boys locked eyes. She was able to pull herself together and speak while they were still at it.
"You guys probably know this one, but this is Dijon, newest since a week or so ago. He'll be you guys' Operator." Dijon didn't give much of a reply until Seafoam spoke.
"Yeah... There isn't a chance I can change Operators, is there?" He snapped his attention to the trio as Cedar chuckled with the blonde and Admiral's head dropped into a hand in embarrassment.
"Oh, just send me back to Oblivia. I can deal with them better." The whole group chuckled at the TO's words before Dijon sighed and got his hugs.
"Good to see you guys again." Admiral didn't let go right away surprisingly, instead tightening her side and bringing the group closer to her.
~~~
They got settled instantly and were assigned their first mission, to track down and meet the final Top Rank, Top Ranger Wendy. Of course, it was hilarious when Admiral gave the most unimpressed word about what they walked into.
"Damn... If I had known we were going to be dealing with these rats, I would've brought my idiot bat."
The Unit and Ranger were cackling as she stared with a look that rivaled her words at the Dimwit in front of them. While they had to pull themselves together, it was clear to the world.
The Crew was back.
