Once a young male lion shifter reaches adulthood, he is to take two mates and leave to take over a different pride by challenging their leader. They will become the new leaders and make a home. The young male has many duties now, the main one being to make the females to carry his cubs. The male cubs of the previous male are either banished with their father, killed on the spot, or made into servants of the new Alpha Male and Females. Rarely and Alpha Male will allow the previous males' cubs to be equal members with his cubs but it is not likely.
This book would follow Prince Kuma and his mates Princess Sera and Princess Lila (or other names) as they leave their father and pride to take over another, spreading the gene pool and ensuring the continuation of their species.
