Father had always told me that if I where to step outside. Danger would come my way. And so because of that I have always stayed inside.
However that didn't stop myself from being kidnapped.
And yet, I didn't know wether to thank my kidnapper or to...
I was a Nobles daughter, engaged to a man I didn't want. Unfortunately I didn't have a choice. I never had a choice. Everything was decided for me. For instance I loved strawberry yogurt, but the man I was to marry hated it, so I wasn't allowed to eat it.
Furthermore My hair was meant to be long and straight, it was never allowed unkept or untidy. I was always meant to have my back straight and never slouched. I couldn't wear makeup because apparently it didn't suit me. I wasn't allowed a dog because my fiancé was allergic. I mean anything I wanted or liked was taken away. I hated it. I wanted to run away but I was scared. I was scared I wouldn't survive outside on my own. After all people like me are quickly kidnapped or worse. or at least that's what my father had always told me.
Which is why I never really was allowed outside. I was allowed in the garden but that's it. The garden was one of my favorite places.
The date Today was April 14th I had just turned twelve which meant I was to wed the prince of the East. I have only ever met him once, and I hated him. He was loud, annoying and above all rude. Everything that came out of his mouth didn't make any sense at all.
As my mom brushed my hair before bed I couldn't help but speak my mind. "Mom. Do I really have to Ma-" she covered my mouth as she glared at me.
"Yes. And you mustn't speak like that. All you can do is smile and endure your new life. This is how it's supposed to be darling. The women are meant to marry the men there father deems suitable. It's a miracle that the prince of the East even wants to take your hand. I'm sure through time you will learn to love him like I have with your father."
And with those words, she left. Tears brimmed my vision as I angrily tossed my pillow onto the ground. By the time I went to bed I was practically praying that something would go wrong during the wedding tomorrow so that it would be postponed even longer.
Oh who am I kidding. I never get what I want. I might as well just endure it like mother said.
Closing my eyes I began to fall asleep only to feel a soft hand wrap around my mouth as I heard a girls voice whisper into my ear.
"If you make a sound I'll kill you."
She suddenly threw me over her shoulder as she hopped out of my bedroom window making my eyes widen as I realized what was happening.
She was, kidnapping me.
Even though my mouth was currently tied in a rough cloth I couldn't help but smile.
I had prayed for a way to escape my wedding day and then she shows up? This can't be just a coincidence.
It was dark, there was no way of telling where she was taking me, however I wasn't scared. I know I should be but, I really can't help but feel happy.
She finally set me down on old hardwood flooring while smirking.
"Leah Ark. current future princess of the East, I have kidnapped you for ransom. And until it's paid in full you will be my slave!"
She suddenly removed the cloth as she spoke confidently.
"Any last words before I make you my own personal slave? After tonight you will begin a long rough voyage across the open sea! You will travel away from your family and become my pet. How does that make you feel?"
I know she was trying to act frightening towards me but, she wasn't scary at all. She was actually really beautiful. I have heard of pirates before but they where always disproved as hideous scoundrels who didn't dare follow the rules and where feared by all.
"Eh? Why are you smiling?! I just kidnapped you! If your parents don't pay the ransom I'll make you my personal slave! You should be begging for your life right now!"
Standing up I calmly walk towards her making her back up nervously as she stuttered.
"H-Hey? What are you doing?! Your supposed to fear me! N- Not...."
Wrapping my arms around her I could practically feel her warmth radiate from her body as I spoke happily.
"Thank you, and I can't wait to get to know you and your crew better." I spoke calmly. However she retaliated by shoving me onto the floor while stomping away angrily.
Is she. Embarrassed? Cute.

Authors note I'm not quite sure where this is going yet. You can say I'm making it up as I go. Either way I hope you enjoyed this first chapter :)
