It was dark out. You could barely see in front of you. You tried calling out to anyone who could hear you, but no one responded. What unsettled you most was that the only sound was your voice. There were no cars, no people, no nothing.
Y/n: "Where is everyone?"
"Y/n! Y-Y/n! Help! Please!"
Your head snaps around to look behind you, but you saw nothing. However, you recognized the voice.
Y/n: "Peter! I'm coming!"
You turn around and run towards where you heard your cousin's voice. He kept on calling out to you and you called back as you ran. However, you barely moved an inch. No matter how hard you ran, you stayed in place as if the universe wanted Peter Parker to die.
Peter: "Y/n! Help! Plea--GACK!"
A sickening snap made you stop in place. Then the sound of a body thumping to the floor makes your heart pound as it echoes through the darkness. You call out to him.
Y/n: "Peter?"
And again.
Y/n: "Peter?!"
And yet there was no answer. You fall to your knees as tears pour down your face. You couldn't save him. You couldn't save your hero. It felt like he was right there, but yet again he was so far out of reach. You sobbed as you began spewing out apologies to your dead cousin, knowing you'll never get a response from him again. Heavy footsteps gain your attention, but you didn't look up even when a large purple hand rested itself on your shoulder.
"I understand my child... Better than anyone."
You look up to see Thanos looking down at you. His lips were curled down into a somber frown as his eyes were filled with sadness. However, you didn't sympathize or empathize with him. You only mustered the angriest scowl you could and glare at the Mad Titan with nothing but rage and hatred.
Y/n: "You could never..."
Thanos: "I lost more than you could ever know. But do not worry. I will reunite you with your kin soon enough."
Y/n: "What...?"
Before you could react, the genocidal warlord grabbed your neck and lifted you up into the air. You wheeze and gasp for air, the feeling of your throat being tightly squeezed with all oxygen being cut from your lungs. You were dying. You knew it. What else could this be?
You were terrified. You didn't want to die like this. You wanted to see Peter and your mother again before that happened. But this was how it goes. Without anybody by your side except Thanos, who was the one killing.
Thanos: "Everything is going to be okay, Y/n. It is time to wake up."
You gasp for air again as you feel life fall away from you. Darkness was slowly entering your vision as you slowly died.
Thanos: "It's time to wake up."
"Y/n, wake up, man!"
You gasp as you jolt awake. You spin your head all around to see that you were sitting in a bus seat. You could hear Harry's voice trying to calm you down.
Harry: "Hey, hey. Calm down, man. Your on the bus, remember? We're going to Alchemax for a field trip. Remember?"
You breathe a bit and lean back on the seat. You nod a bit and Gwen turns around to look at you from the seat in front of you.
