Chapter 22

                        Brittney's POV
He hasn't been this happy in a while.

"Okay anywho. This is my mate Brittney and my half sister. Well our half sister Marisol. Stay here! I have to get little pup!"

T.K ran away.

"T.K he's sleeping!"

"Not for long!"

"You have no idea how broken he was."

He came back holding Cloud.

"This is Cloud! Where were you?"

"Do you really want to know orrrr?"

"No I actually want to know."

"Dad's beta took me."

"What?! Brady took you?!"

"Yeah. He snuck into the backyard and gave Leighton the doll. By the way. Where is he?"

"Six feet under."

"Oh. So that was true? Okay than...so if that's true then...oh my god I am so sorry!"

Kayleigh's POV
I walked around the house seeing if anything has changed. I saw a little boy's room. I walked in and saw I was in Cloud's room. I looked over my shoulder and saw T.K standing behind me.

"Hey. Did you ever even think about me?"

"Yes! Every day! I blamed myself for everything!"

"Really?"

"Yes! It killed me that it happened! I replayed it over and over in my head. I was trying to come up with all these solutions that could've saved you."

"I wasn't even in the pool. I saw Leighton pick up the doll and put it in the pool. Brady said "This is how nobody will miss you." I believed him for years. Who's the alpha?"

"Brittney's uncle Matthew Bridges."

"Damn. You're in a great family now."

"It's much better now that I have my best friend back. How'd you know I lived here?"

"I wasn't allowed to have social media while I lived with him. So I had no idea. Then...I saw you the other day..you looked so happy. I thought I'd ruin it. I thought you'd turn me away."

"Leigh no. I found your necklace and started bawling my eyes out. You're the reason I'm so protective of people. Especially women. You know dad's alive right?"

"Really?"

"Yeah. Our step mom was smart and got him to terminate his parental rights when he was drunk. He got pissed and killed her. I have custody of Marisol now. And I'm kinda hoping you're moving in too."

"Yeah. I think I am. I was going to get my own place but I wanna come home finally. My stuff's in my car."

"You can drive?! Holy shit I'm old!"

"You're what? 22? You're still young. Race ya!"

We ran to my car. We brought everything inside and put everything in my room. My original room. I laid down on my bed. I shut my eyes and just relaxed for the first time in years. I felt someone jump onto the bed and my eyes opened.

"Ah! The duo is back together once again!"

I chuckled.

"I guess so. Hey what'd I miss?"

"A lot. It's actually good that you missed everything. Leighton went downhill after everything happened with mom and dad. Leighton was never the same after that. He got power hungry. Mom and dad made us both alphas."
