Isabella's POV (7 Years Old)

"Isabella" I could hear my governess cry as I once again made a run from the nursery in a bid to get far away from my studies "Isabella Bridgerton come here this instant and continue your studies" she exclaimed as I skipped off down the hallway and under a housemaids arm,

"No shan't" I replied cheekily as I scurried down the steps and out the open doors in to the garden.

Benedict's POV

I sat contently in the drawing room window with my sketch book in hand basking in the afternoon sun that was seeping throughout the generously large window. I began to hear some form of commotion outside of the room but did my best to ignore it, nine times out of ten these things all just blow over. However when I heard the sound of my youngest sisters governess mumbling to herself I found my curiosity got the better of me. I stood up and put my pad and pen down on the seat behind me before wandering out of the room to see what the commotion was about,

"The Dowager is out for the day I'm afraid" I found our butler explaining to the frazzled looking governess,

"Is there a problem?" I ask walking towards the two,

"Mr Bridgerton" the governess turned to me slightly taken aback by my presence "you know I am loyal to your family and I would never have a bad word to say about them" she began "but I'm afraid that the youngest Miss Bridgerton would test the patience of a saint" she said making me raise a knowing eyebrow,

"And where exactly is my youngest sister?" I asked curiously,

"That is what I wish to speak too your mother about" she explained "she's up a tree" she added and my eyes widened,

"Up a tree?" I echoed and she nodded in confirmation,

"I must say Mr Bridgerton that I have been offered a position with the Hatton family and I am sad to say that after todays events I have had my mind made up" she finished and I nodded in slight shock.

"I'm sorry to hear that Ms Fitzpatrick" I began "I will get a note over to my brother Viscount and have him come over immediately whilst I deal with my sister" I explained "I'm certain that we could never pay you enough to put up with Isabella on days like this" I added and she nodded sheepishly,

"Thank you Mr Bridgerton" she said with a sad kind of smile,

"Please fetch some tea for Ms Fitzpatrick and have her settled in the drawing room" I turned to the butler "and have a note sent over to the Viscount requesting his immediate presence" I added before striding off in to the garden to locate my trouble maker little sister. Time to put my best stern older brother act on.

Isabellas POV

As I sat on a branch high in a large tree in our garden, I began to feel strong regret about my decision. What do I do now? I'll have to come down eventually and when I do I'm bound to be in heaps of trouble with my mamma; or even worse...Anthony.

"Isabella Bridgerton" A stern voice boomed from the ground bellow me and I looked down to see my second eldest brother, Benedict.

"Yes?" I asked in my best innocent voice making his raise and unbelieving eyebrow up at me,

"Come down here this instant" he ordered and I shuffled around nervously on the large branch I was perched upon,

"No" I whined "I'm going to be in trouble" I added making him cross broad his arms over his chest,

"You're going to be in more trouble the longer you stay up there" he stated. He has a point.

"Are you going to tell Anthony?" I asked nervously,
