It was a late night in ninjago, the city streets were cool and foggy and the air was cold and crisp. Heavy breathing and footsteps broke through the silence as they ran through the streets. Streetlamps lit up and turned off as he passed them.

There were three of them each armed (pfft like that would stop him) and running as fast as they could. Y'know you would think that after seeing that their city had ninja protecting the place from giant snakes and other monstrosities that thieves would just give up. Honestly it was ridiculous either they had just moved to ninjago, really needed what they were stealing, or they were just really, really dumb.

Yet here they were, running down a dark street after a bunch of thugs who robbed a fine gemstone store. The guys had sent him ahead because he was the fastest of them, unfortunately not faster than their motorcycles.

Engines revved to life and he tried so hard to catch up. He could go so much faster if he would just- nope nope this isn't a problem he doesn't need to go that far! He just has to run faster!

But as the bikes took off and his chances grew more thin he couldn't help himself.

He raised a hand and merely squinted.

Suddenly three loud pops and black smoke started heaving out of the motors throwing the riders into the streets giving him time to catch up.

A crack sounded and he managed to just barely dodge a bullet that would've clipped his shoulder.

"Sorry fellas but you'll have to do better than that! Plus robbing a jewel store with flashlights at night in a city that's having a power crisis? Not really your most well thought out plan." He quipped.

Ever since... Everything, the city had a new power saving policy until they got back on their feet. So when suddenly there's a bunch of lights shining out a window at night when it's quite literally "lights out" time, it raises a few brows.

"Well it's your fault ain't it freak! We wouldn't need the money or the stupid lights if it weren't for you!" One of them called and his eyes narrowed.

"Yeah! All this is cause a you! Shoulda just stayed as a battery!"

"Hellooooo~ lightning" the bad one called "I'm baaaack~"

He tried he pounded against the glass and screamed as loud as he could anything to break out of here any thing to destroy that one but it was no use. He couldn't get through the glass and he could feel himself being drained constantly if only he just had a little more power... If only he could just destroy them...

The bad one laughed at his attempts he always did. He hated that one, the one with the glasses. He caused all this! HE MADE HIM THIS WAY! HE NEEDED TO DIE!

"Tsk tsk tsk, is that any way for something as regal as you to act? Screaming and hissing like an animal? Ah but I suppose it can't be helped, only nature." He said and teasingly tapped a hand against the glass.

LIAR! He was so much more than that! Both of them! They were so much more so much more than what the bad one thought of them. So much more than-

"You and I are going to help so many people, my little glorified battery~"

Jay's head filled with fuzz and he felt the power in his eyes. He could feel it as the lichtenberg scars all around his eyes and on his shoulders began to glow feintly.

He raised his arm and felt power rush across him. The lamps on either side of the road exploded and sparks flew out of them covering the sidewalk in sparkling blue light that flickered like sputtering flames.
