Jay was crouched carefully on a thin lampost over the group of rioters he was assigned to. He wasn't sure what was harder, when he used to have to think about using his electricity or when he had to think about not using it. He was taking all his focus and putting it into keeping the light he was sitting on turned off. There was only about eight people below him all yelling.

He felt like some sort of cat... Or maybe batman waiting in the dark crouched down like this with his hood up. They used to think Lloyd had it the worst in terms of non-stealthy hair but the rank had now been passed onto Jay.

Ever since Cole had gotten his lightning back into him his hair had turned blinding white with no sign of ever turning back. Which honestly was kinda awesome in his opinion, he looked like his prime empire avatar even if Kai now got to make a lot of "old man" jokes.

There were times though when he hated it.

Times when he would look in the mirror and see them as Lightning again. With his hair made of pure flowing power. Times where he couldn't stand to look at himself or his white hair because of what it stood for. Times when he gripped it tightly and thought about ripping it out of his scalp while voices in his head whispered loudly at him.

He snapped back to reality and looked down at everyone below him. "Show time I suppose" he says and jumps down landing in front of them on his feet.

The crowd yelped at his sudden appearance before immediately going back on defense. "What are you here for ninja? Here to silence us?! Make it so our voices can't be heard?!"

Jay just blinked at them. "Uh yeah dude, y'know why?"

"Because you want to silence all those who speak the truth!" One of them screeches (jeez and he thought they were loud when they were Lightning).

"Nooo," he says rubbing his ear "I'm here to silence those that are screaming in the middle of the city at 3am when there's kids who are gonna have to go to school tomorrow and parents who need their sleep to deal with those kids."

The group started yelling indignantly. "This is a peaceful protest!" One screams far too close to him."We haven't broken any of your laws!"

"Actually you technically have, I mean ninjago has a quiet hour if you weren't aware, no excessive noise after 10:00 but if you wanna come back and scream some more after 6:00 that'd be perfectly-"

"We'll stop when we get answers!"

"Answers to what?" Jay deadpanned giving them and unimpressed stare and suddenly half of the group was silent.

"A- answers to the power! Why isn't anyone doing anything!"

"Well actually they are, if you haven't noticed, pretty sure the commissioner addressed this." He states once again silencing them temporarily.

"As if he's telling us the truth!" One yells and with that Jay is finally fed up.

"And what pray tell do you think the truth is? You think the police commissioner is trying his hardest to make sure we don't get power? OH! WAIT! but that doesn't make any sense now does it? Because if the city doesn't have power then the police don't have their systems running and if their systems aren't running they can't do their jobs and if they can't do their jobs then they don't get paid. And if I recall correctly I believe one of your "big statements" was that they were only in this for the money right? Which of course is a little conflicting how weird is that..." He says tapping his chin.

Three of them have snuck away from the group now, running back to their homes.

"I suggest you all go back home and think for a few master damn minutes and don't come back until you've actually got a valid argument."
