CHAPTER 00. ／ back home.

'woah, it does bring back memories, hm?' kuroo thought as he stood infront of a house.

a small smile slowly formed in his face as he walked to the door and pressed the doorbell.

soon enough, a shout came from the other side of the door, screaming "coming!".

kuroo heard the door slowly crack open, revealing a woman who was in around.. her 20s?

"oh, tetsurou." the woman raised an eyebrow, but soon smiled at the latter. "hi, nee-chan." kuroo greets with a small wave.

"come in." she says, walking a few steps away to let kuroo inside the house.

kuroo mumbled a 'mhm', before stepping inside. his sister, terumi, slowly closed the door right after.

"soo, what brings my little brother here?" his sister questions, emphasizing the 'little brother' with a teasing look. "oh, shut up." kuroo playfully rolls his eyes.

"oh, tetsurou?"

the siblings both tilted their heads to the owner of the voice. "ah, okaa-san! i thought you were going to take a nap?"

"ah, i was about to but i heard the doorbell rang, so i was gonna ask you who was at the door, and it appears to be tetsurou." the woman replies, smiling softly after.

"hey, ma! it's been a while," kuroo says as he pulls his mother, takarro, into a short embrace.

the woman chuckles, "come on, take a sit, you two." she says as she sat down.

the other two sat down aswell with their mother, "so, what brings you here, tetsurou?"

"ah! i just decided to pay a little visit, that's all." kuroo replies, "and it was also spring break sooo─" he adds.

"oh, is that so? i'm happy you considered to visit." takkaro says, "so, how are you holding up with college?" his sister asks.

"same as usual, it's still tiring." kuroo sighs, "well, that's college for you." terumi chuckles.

"remember to take breaks, though." his mother reminds. "of course i do, ma, don't worry." kuroo smiles.

"that's good," takkaro smiles softly.

soon enough, the sala was filled with chatter as the family chatted happily, exchanging laughs and small teases.

a smile made it's way to kuroo's face as he entered his old room.

he sneezes upon stepping inside, the room was a bit dusty due to no one using it anymore.

as he walks around the room, a certain framed picture catches his eye.

it was him, with a boy who looked like the same age (but actually a year younger). they both were posing with peace signs, or most likely, the other was posing with one hand because his other hand was holding a switch.

kuroo was grinning widely in the picture while the other boy had a small smile.

kuroo cracks a genuine smile, he missed those days. (oh back when i was younger- jk)

suddenly, his attention swifts to a box which was below his nightstand.

he doesn't really remember putting a box below his nightstand but he just decided to take it and see what's inside.

as he slowly takes it, he tries not to make anything fall from the nightstand since he doesn't really wanna make a mess.

after successfully taking the box without anything falling (thankfully), he sat down on his old bed and brushed some of the dust away.

he then soon opened the box, only to see a bunch of letters.

and that's when he knew what that box was and what was inside.

an // hello!! i hope you enjoyed the first chapter <3 im sorry if there were a few mistakes and the narrating was bad. i'm still trying to improve my writing back to it's normal state after getting writer's block </3 but anyways, thank you for reading this chapter! :) i really appreciate it <3
