The cookie wasn't sure but thought that if he could learn this magic he would become very powerful. So the mage agreed and joined in the ranks.

Listening to the soft tapping of the rain was a comfort to me. It tapped the window and gently rolled down. I sat there for a while in calm, Most of the time the only nights where I did get any amount of sleep were rainy nights. I just liked the overall feel of rainy days. Even when there was thunder it didn't bother me at all, unlike GingerSpice. He for some unknown reason needed to be comforted constantly when there was thunder. He was so scared of it that he would shake and cower when there was any loud noise during a storm. And the flashes would make him extremely alert.

I did teach him a technique that I think let's him semi maintain his sanity, when there's a flash you count how many seconds until the actual thunder and then for every five seconds the storm is one mile away. It's not exactly accurate but it works well enough to keep him distracted from breaking down. It still doesn't prevent him from being oddly terrified of it, it just stops him having a panic attack. I did not want to go through with having to stop him from having a panic attack. The thing that was so odd about it wasn't that the thunder that scared him, it was just that he seemed very unafraid when it came to most things. So why did he show such an intense fear of thunder and not anything else?

I snapped myself out of it, you are supposed to stop thinking not start it! I refocused myself and watched outside the window, it was already getting dark but now with the rain it was even darker. What's the point in even going to my bed? It's just another place to lie awake at night, debating whither I'm okay or everything has gone to chaos. I thought irritatedly laying my hands on my crossed arms. Suddenly Reaper padded up to the window and jumped onto the window sill, sitting right next to my arms. I glanced from the window to him,

"How did you get out..? Did Spice let you out I'm guessing?" I asked him and ruffled the fur on his head, he kept meowing at me. I was confused but I decide to follow him because he jumped off when I moved slightly,

"What is it?" I wondered as I followed him to the stairs as he flicked his tail,

"Do you want me to go to bed with you? Fine, just because you want me to." I agreed and walked up the stairs with him. I was a bit weirded out when our door was slightly open but was dark inside. I then realized why when I peaked inside and saw Reaper walking up to Spice and jumping on the bed. There was only a lamp near the window to illuminate the space. Spice was intently staring out of the window and looking very nervous. I noticed that he had the slightest shaking to him as well, although it was faint under the blanket that he had wrapped around himself,

"Spice are you doing alright?" I asked curiously he turned around seeming to have not noticed me before,

"Um, yeah Necromancer I'm fine." He said attempting to sound fine but turning out more as a sad attempt to sound bubbly. He had a crooked smile that he kept up which just made his whole mood seem more awkward. I could tell tell he was struggling to keep his happy persona,

"Don't lie to me Spice..even Reaper sees that your anxious." I warned glaring at him from the doorway. His face turned more somber as he looked down slightly,

"I know, I can't lie to you. I don't even know why I try." He laughed softly in a awkward and sad kind of way. I stepped into the room and sat on my bed looking at him once again staring out the window,

"Then I guess you should quit lying to me. I always find out one way or another, so what's the point in throwing out useless garbage to try and 'prevent' me?" I sneered sarcastically, he seem to shrink down at that. There was silence between us as I listened to the tapping of rain again,
