Sidney's POV

"Elijah, wait! I'm coming." As we walk out, his friend calls while he follows us.

We decided to go out and have dinner, got ourselves ready and are walking to catch a cab when Elijah's friend, Liam comes running to us.

I frown at the guy. Why does he keep coming behind us? I'm angry at Elijah too. Why would he agree for his friend to go behind us all the time? We're here to celebrate our family time and get bonded with each other. Why does his friend come between us all the time?

Though his friend keeps calling, Elijah don't mind him and continue to walk. We reach outside and wait for a cab since we planned to eat our dinner somewhere out.

"Are you guys going out? Why are you waiting here? Come on, I'll take you in my car." Liam stands next to us and says while panting.

"Really?" Elijah asks and Liam nods, "that's good then, we don't need to wait for a cab." Elijah says with a smile, a smirk hidden behind it.

"Yeah, wait here I'll get my car." Liam states and goes in to bring his car.

We wait for him and a minute later, he drives his car out and stops it right in front of us. He signals us to sit to which Elijah nods at him and turns to face me, gesturing me to sit. With a sigh, I nod and sit inside. Elijah then helps the babies from the trolley and gives me one after the other and I take them. He closes the door and goes back to place the trolley in the truck.

"Liam, can you open the truck lock and also help me with it?" Elijah asks Liam for his help.

"Yeah, sure." Liam replies and unlocks the truck lock and gets down as he goes to Elijah.

Elijah folds the trolley and puts it in the truck and I watch them from where I'm sitting. Once done, Elijah walks first while Liam closes the door. I frown when I see Elijah walking to the drivers seat instead of passengers but I continue to watch what's Elijah's going to do. Before Liam could even walk to the seat, Elijah sits in the driver's seat and starts the car before pulling it away from the area. I get surprised by what Elijah did and watch him with wide eyes.

"Eli, stop the car. Eli! Eli!" I turn back to see Liam shouting while running behind the car however Elijah won't stop the car.

"Elijah your friend." I whisper turning back to Elijah

"Let the guy be! He deserves it. He's unnecessarily tagging along with us all the time and not giving us family time. I hate that idiot." Elijah replies furiously.

Elijah didn't like his friend coming with us? Then why did he agree in the first place?

"If you don't like then why did you agree to bring him with us for dinner?" I ask him what's bothering me.

"I didn't agree, Sidney. I just thought of taking his car since it'll be convenient for us and also thought to runway before he could get in." Elijah states which makes me laugh out loud.

God! This is so comic! Elijah's friend following us everywhere so Elijah decided to take his car but leave him behind.

Babies watch me in comfort and Elijah smiles in return. Slowly my laugh subsides and I smile with relief and sit back as I relax. Finally it's only us. Liam is a good guy but don't know why he's always coming between us. So, what Elijah did is good.

Elijah continues to drive towards the restaurant which we already decided to go and stops when we reach the destination. He gets down and hands the keys to the valet while I hop down and help the babies. I first take Sky and hand him over to Elijah so that I can bring River out. Closing the door, I turn around to Elijah. He was about to hand Sky to me and take River but I stop him.

"I can't carry Sky. River weights less than Sky so I'm comfortable carrying him. You bring Sky with you." I tell him and walk to the entrance of the restaurant.

Now, how will Sky and Elijah bond together when Elijah always hands Sky to me and takes care of River. If I want, I can carry Sky or put him down so that he'll walk on his own with my help. But in that way, our intention behind this trip will not be fulfilled. For Elijah and Sky to bond, they should interact more and be with each other more. So intentionally I let Elijah carry Sky while I carry River. This will help River and I as well since River is not as close as Sky to me. This way, all of us gets benefitted.

Elijah follows me behind and together we enter into the restaurant. A young manager in her official suit greets us before leading us to the table of four. As we get seated, a waiter comes with welcome drinks and hands us the menu. While Elijah choose food for us, I check out the best food for the babies and once we decide on what to eat, we order the food. We have the drinks while waiting for the food.

"Sidney, what food do you like the most?" Elijah asks me as I place the now empty juice glass in the table. My face heats up like a bun in the oven whenever he calls me by my name.

"I mostly eat everything, nothing in specific." I shrug since I don't really take interest in specific food.

"Then do you have any allergies or some sort?" He queries.

"No, not really." I remember as of now I never got any allergies with any of the food I ate.

"What do you like to do during free time?" He shots another question which makes me frown.

"Nothing really, until before I was busy with studies and during free time I used to play games or spend the day at the bakery with my parents. But now I'm always busy with the babies." I reply to him, "but why are you asking me all these, Elijah?"

"I want to know about your likes and dislikes, food preferences, what you like to do during the time when you're free." He says and continues, "by the way, you can call me Eli and by my full name since that's how people close to me address me."

I get taken back at his words. Does that mean he feels me as someone close to me.

"O-Okay." I nod, "But why do you want to know?" I don't understand why does he want to know so much about me.

"Because as your husband, I should know everything about you." He states with a possessive tone which makes me blush immediately.

Elijah has never used a tone with such intensity before, especially towards me. The way he behaves with me changed, the way he talks to me changed, the way he looks at me changed, his eagerness to know about me and his annoyance when someone else comes between us, he even asked me to call him Eli which is reserved for his close people, everything is happening one after the other and I don't know how to react. But one thing for sure, all of his actions are making my heart beat ten times faster and always brings a blush on my cheeks. Makes me go through the kind of feelings which I never felt before.

What kind of feelings are this? Is it like or love? And does Elijah feel the same towards me and that's the reason why his approach changed towards me? Should I ask him?

I get the thought to ask him but I brush it off immediately. It's not the right time, it's still so early. I don't really know the intentions behind his behaviour and I can't just ask him by taking my assumptions into consideration. I'll wait for few more days and watch him during this trip. Even after the trip if he behaves the same then I'll talk to him openly because I just don't want to get into wrong conclusions by thinking he likes me and then confront him only to know it's not that. That will create a hindrance to our slowly growing relationship. With time, everything will get clear to me so I'll wait and enjoy the trip without hurting my brain with too many thoughts.

"Your order, sir." The waiter's voice snaps me out of my thoughts.

Blinking my eyes, I look at him as he serves us the food. Elijah ties a napkin around Sky and I does the same to River before we start eating. Our dinner goes smoothly with us helping the babies in between and having few talks here and there. Our day finally ends on a good note.
