"Arise and gather the dead." I order out after everyone had stopped cheering. Shadows rose from the dead Noxians and started gathering all the corpses that littered the Placidium. I then draw out my wolves and say to them "Scout the surrounding area for any remaining pockets of Noxians and report any back to me."

They barked in response before quickly running into the nearby forests. "What are you going to do with the bodies?" Varcas asked me walking to my side.

"Any Ionian will be laid out in case they have someone that knows them before they are buried. The Noxians corpses' will probably be left in a pile and brunt." I answer him.

"They don't deserve to be buried here." I hear behind me. I turn to look at an angry Irelia.

"I agree. It's a pleasure to meet you Irelia. My name is Dire." I say to her.

"All of Ionia knows your name Dire. Thank you for saving us once again."

I shrug "All in a days work. I'm only upset we couldn't kill Swain and Mizih but this battle was a tremendous victory."

"Yeah sorry Dire." Jinx grumbles rubbing her head nervously. "Didn't expect witch lady to pull a stunt like that."

I shake my head "It's fine Jinx. I was careless once again. I didn't expect her to forcefully break through her limits so far. But in any case Swain is crippled and that trick Mizih did no doubt would've put massive strains on her body. We can expect not to see either of them for a long time."

"What now? With Noxus losing two important figures they could easily lose their position here." Varcas said.

"We should use this time to drive Noxus out of Navori." An Ionian sounded out. His suggestion was met with multiple cheers of agreement.

"In time. For now we need to recover and prepare ourselves. This war is far from over." I say.

"What do you say Lady Irelia?" Another Ionian says to the blue haired girl.

She looks surprised finally glancing around her to notice everyone staring at her. While I looked at her curious to her decision the Ionians looked to her in praise and respect. She seemed a bit nervous with all the responsibility suddenly pushed onto her. She then took a deep breath before looking at the one that spoke with a serious look "Dire is right. We are in no position to take the fight to the invaders. First we must grieve for those that died these last few days."

She glanced slightly at me as I gave a nod of satisfaction. I know quite a lot of being looked to for making decisions so the lest I can do is help her out, especially since now less of the Ionians will be staring at me for leadership.

As Irelia walks off being followed by a bunch of people she started giving out orders telling them to help my Shadows gather the dead. Suddenly I hear a deep grumble behind to see Tank staring at Irelia disapprovingly.

"What's with his deal?" Jinx asks slightly smiling at the large bear.

"He's just mad I'm not the one everyone to looking to." I laugh.

"To be fair you are the one that has been saving this continent for a year now. The moment she shows up it's like they forgot about you." Kayn teases walking up to the two of us.

"Meh." I shrug unbothered. "The Ionians would rally under another Ionian much easier than to a foreigner like me. At least this why the Brotherhood won't be running in their deaths so often now."

"Will she be up to the task?" Kayn says watching Irelia like a teacher monitors a student.

"We'll see. For now let's rest for a bit. Both of you are hurt." Both of the two had wounds with Kayn being physical while Jinx's being magical. "Jinx did Mizih do something to you? I can feel something wrong with your spirit."
