Previously on love in the dark

"Your grace," said lord Anderson as he bowed his head to me

"Your lordship," I said while standing up from my seat walking toward him "my lord, my apologies but Mr bridgerton is the last caller for today, you have to come back tomorrow to see rhea," I said while looking at him with a neutral look

"Then I will have to apologize for I am not here for miss rhea, but I am here for you," he said while grabbing my hand and kissing it

To say I was shocked was an understatement, I was flabbergasted

I looked down at his left hand to see red roses, one of my favorite flowers

I looked back up at him to see him smiling at me

"well this is certainly going to be an interesting season" I heard benedict say to rhea and grandmother "yes, it certainly will" I heard grandmother say. I could just hear the smirk in her voice

This was going to be a very long season, I thought to myself

I was cut out of my daze when He spoke "I would love to get to know you better, your grace," he said still holding my hand

"I had handpicked these roses for you from my garden, I  knew you had prefer red roses instead of the boring white flowers that the other young debutantes liked," He Said with a smirk While letting go of my hand and walking over to the other side of the room to the large bay window that looked over the backyard garden

I was bewildered by the knowledge he knew of me, he must have done his research

"May I sit down, your grace" he said "you may" I said as I sat down on the love seat that was in front of the bay window where he sat

"Robert, will you fetch me some tea," I said to my butler while still looking at lord Anderson "this going to be a long day"

✨ 2 hours later ✨

I was giggling, I never giggle, well at least not in front of guests, but with lord Anderson, I found myself giggling like a teenage girl crushing on her tutor. Laughing at everything he said even when some of his jokes weren't funny
