Riley Matthews was nothing short of ordinary. Her life, though often plagued by pain and loneliness, was mediocre at best. She had a boring job as a waitress in a local cafe, a small apartment in a rough neighbourhood she could barely afford and a past she often tried to run from.

You could call her a serial killers wet dream but even then she'd feel you were being too kind.
She wanted to be loved. To be cherished and cared for. She yearned to feel wanted.
Then came Steve Kemp. An extraordinary man with dashing good looks, success dripping from his every pore and a charming way with words.
He's perfect and Riley finds herself opening up to him. But is letting him in and dropping her guard a mistake or is this the escape from her life she had always dreamt of?
