" Ganga maiya ne apne sare 7 bete ko Ganga me hi kyon baha diya ?...kya unhe dukh nahi hua?." A 10 year old Sidharth asked his mother sitting in her lap.

"Dukh!..nahi bacche..it was all pre destined....Ganga ne to apne un 7 bacchon ko mukti di..wo khud nahi chahte the dharti par rehna..into this human life.Dukh to Ganga ji ko apne pati Raja Shantanu ke liye hua..tabhi to apne aantim aur 8th bete Bhisma ko unhone Ganga me nahi bahaya aur Shantanu ko saunp kar khud chhor kar chali gayi...... Ganga to sab ke paap dhulti hai...apne un 7 bacchon ko apne Nirmal aur Pavan jal me baha kar Ganga ne un sabko bhi pavitra kar diya ,moksha de kar..by freeing them from this cycle of birth and rebirth".Bhagirathi replied.

" Wo kaise Ija?"Sidharth asked amazed again.

" Wo aise mere bhole bhandari...those 8 born son of Ganga in Human form were cursed to be born as human for their bad deeds of stealing a holy cow of great Sage Vashishtha in past..and the main culprit was the 8th one which was named as Dev vrat which was not drowned by Ganga maiya and survived and lived longer on this earth and later called Bhisma Pitamah...un 8 logon ne laalachi ho kar wish fulfilling holy cow chori ki Sage Vashishtha ki.....did their wrong karma aur isliye they took birth in human body....they were so unhappy for that and seek help of Ganaga maiya..and only she was ready and helped them among all other god to free them from this cycle of human life for shortest period as they took birth and thus drowned them as promised as soon as they took birth..it was already pre destined and committed between them...Simple!".A 15 year old Sameera informed a pensive Sidharth.

" Apko kaise pata itna didi...aur mujhe kyon nahi pata ija?".He asked surprised.

" kyonki tu chhota hai abhi Bholu Ram aur dadi Maa mujhe roj bed time stories sunati hai jab main unke pas soti hoon...tujhe to Maa ke pas sona hota hai na..to kaise interesting stories sunega".Sameera spoke mocking him while engrossed in writing something in her diary.

"Haan ,mujhe ija ki godi me hi neend aati hai..aur ija bhi mujhe acchi acchi kahaniyan sunati hai roj...hai na ija!".

" Haan ..mera baccha!."Bhagirathi affirmed caressing his hair in her lap.Her kids were her life and so as Sidharth's life was his mother.

" Par ija ,Ganga Maa Raja Shantanu ko chhor kar kyon chali gayi..she married him na..?..Aur kya moksha itna jaruri hai....human life kharab hoti hai?".A naive kid of 10 years old Sidharth questioned again.

" Ganga is a free soul Sidharth..usko kaun baandh kar rakh sakta hai...wo jab bhi bandhi hai..sirf aur sirf pyar se..devotion and love can only bound her ...jaise Ganga was born from Lord Vishnu's foot(Hari ke char kamal se) and her force was so strong that it could destroy whole Earth once she entered Earth when Bhagirath asked her to come on Earth after 100 years of penance through Lord Shiva..she never wanted to come on Earth from Lord Vishnu's adobe in swarg lok...phir bhi wo aayi prithvi par sirf Shiv ji ke liye ,for her love in the form of devotion...aur unke us force ko sirf Shivji hi rok sakte the...apni jata me lapet kar sama liya Brahma ji ke kamandal se niklo Ganga ko, aur aise aayi wo apne adi Dev Shiv ji ki Jata me bandh kar through small streams ,is sadiyon se pyasi dharti par in form of holy river!

....fir doobara wo Shantanu ke liye aayi...in human form..aur jab jis din Shantanu ka pyar aur vishwas kam jo gaya by questioning her acts and deeds of drowning her own child...wo wapas chali gayi....Shantanu could not understand the reason for killing her own child..that there could be a strong reason behind that and hold his curiosity and questioned her...apne 8th son Bhisma ko wo waise bhi nahi bahane wali thi as he was born for some other great deeds but she just wanted to test Shantanu,but he could not pass that test and lost Ganga! Shantanu ke apne reason honge but Ganga bhi galat nahi thi.."
