Helping little Daniel

Tom's POV:

While getting ready, I was thinking about how I should proceed with things. Should I just go there and act as if it's a coincidence or should I act like i'm buying some groceries? yeah I think I'll go with the second one because then I could get to know Daniel a little more. so I'll scare the lackeys and I know that Zack will try to fight me to I should teach him a good lesson to put him on the right path and to stop bullying others. 

Alright, after I finished getting dressed up I grabbed a hundred dollars and headed out. Once I reached the convenience store, I sighed in relief seeing as the bullies haven't arrived yet. I walk towards the store and proceed to enter, I hear someone say 'welcome' so I look at the cash register and see little daniel. The moment he saw me he froze, I don't blame him he probably thinks that I'm going to bully him or something. I greet him and say 'hello'. I search through the aisle to find some chicken, beef, potatoes, onions... the stuff that I would need to cook, I can also see daniel trying to keep his cool. while searching from some drinks, mostly fresh orange juice, I also took one extra for  little dan. I suddenly hear the sound of the door opening, I turn around and it's the bullies, I try to keep my cool even though it won't show. I know that Zack is waiting outside, and when they can't get the cigarettes, he enters and tells them to just stop since it would be impossible to get them, but when he see that small daniel is on the cash register, he changes. Since he already beat the living hell out of him before, he took advantage of the situation, and uses daniel's fear to get what he wanted and even tries to get alcohol. When the victim is still trying to stop them Zack proceeds to throw a punch at Dan, before the punch lands I intercept in with my hand. I turn to look at Daniel and say:

"hey kid, are you alright?", he looked at me for a bit clearly in shock as to why I had just saved him. After a few seconds of silence he says:

"ah yes thank you very much", he still was scared of me but I saw gratefulness in his eyes. The bullies seeing as they are being ignored started to get angry, but only Zack showed it since the others were scared of my appearance. 

"I can see that these fellows are giving you quite the trouble, so please don't mind me, I'll take care of this problem for you". I proceed to turn around and give them a mean glare clearly saying that they are in deep trouble

"hey, you know I really hate when people mess with others, so why pick on someone like him, why not choose someone your own size", that was partially a lie because I was a lot bigger than them. But hearing what I just say the three lackeys just run for their lives:

"Hey zack!!! we're really sorry but f we stay here we may lose our lives!!!"

Zack who also began getting scared too several steps back, but he gathered the courage he had left and said:

"I don't care if you leave I didn't need you anyways, and you who do you think you are interfering with my business. oh now I remember, you are that giant in my class who thinks he can do whatever he wants. well I'll show you, that I'm the boss around here, and if you want a fight you'll get it but don't go crying to your mom afterwards", I looked at him as if he's an idiot, he then throws a punch at me, but before it can even land:

(white hair is zack and the hole is where the mc's punch landed)

"my face! my face!is my eye still intact...?!", zack said while panting heavily.

"hey zack, I just wanted to tell you that I hate bullies, my facial features may say otherwise but I really mean what I say, so from classmate to another my only advice to survive in our school from now on is to stop bullying other students, also it may be my first day there but I realised a few things. First thing is that if you want to get Mira's attention you should stop fighting other people because the second thing I noticed is that she doesn't like violence". I tell him that with the same glare as before, and to end this interaction I say:

"Do you understand?", he just nods and leaves as fast as he can. 

I then turn around and walk towards my cart of groceries, I grab them and walk to the cash register:

"sorry about that little guy, but these guys were really bothering me, by the way my name is Tom Choi"

"no no, it's not a problem you actually saved me, and you were also amazing. my name is Daniel Park"

"oh? you have the same name as my classmate, but besides that, why didn't you try to defend yourself, I know that he was stronger than you but you could have at least tried you know. you should show more courage and you should be ashamed of how you looked, when I looked you earlier I saw you put your head down in shame. And like I said to the other guy, I may not show emotions from the outside but what I say is sincere"

I could see that all the nervousness that was built up in Daniel disappeared, he didn't look scared of me anymore, he now looked at me in awe. When I paid for my stuff, I give him a can of orange juice, we then proceed to talk for a bit. He told me that his roommate also had the same name as him and that he dropped out of school to work here while the other goes to school which was also the  same school I go to. I knew that what he was saying to me was a lie but I didn't mind. After the end of our conversation I tell him goodbye and leave to prepare for my second day at school.
