Rain

Rain stared, not believing what he was seeing. How could that be Abigail, sitting in front of him. She was dead!

Nevertheless, Rain could see that the woman in front of him was Abigail. She looked the same, she wielded the same weapon, and she showed the same care for her weapon. Rain even recognized her posture. This was not even the Nether Queen. This was Abigail.

Rain stepped out from the bushes and walked over to her.

"Abigail?" he asked, barely hopping.

She stiffened and spun around, sending the bow flying. Rain was shocked to see that she had pure white eyes. She grabbed a makeshift spear off the ground and launched herself at him.

Rain stumbled back, confused. He has been sure that this was Abigail. How could he have been so wrong?

Rain summoned the Ender Greatsword and blocked her strike. He felt his Ender Eye activate and he pushed back against her. Abigail dodged to the side, causing Rain to fall forward. He spun and easily blocked her strike.

He felt tears in his eyes. He had made peace with Abigail's death already, knowing that it was what she had wanted and that she had regained her memories. Now he had to fight her all over again.

Rain fell back, trying to retreat back to the Frostbourn and tell Patrick about this development. Abigail charged after him however, swinging at him with tremendous force.

Rain blocked the strike, locking their weapons together. He looked at Abigail, and saw something stir in her eyes. Rain threw her back, and started to turn back towards Dreadfort. But before he could start running, he heard her speak.

"Rain?"

He stopped, slowly turning back towards her. He saw that she had dropped her spear and that her eyes were no longer white. They had reverted back to how they had been back before all of this had happened.

They looked at each other for a moment, before Abigail ran across the clearing and threw her arms around him. Rain hugged her back, not understanding what was happening.

Abigail suddenly stiffened, and pulled away from Rain.

"You have to run," she told him.

"What?" Rain asked. "No! I'm not leaving you."

"You have to," she said, her eyes tearing up. "I can hold her back for now, but she is trying to break through. She wants to kill you."

"Abigail, I can help you," Rain told her, taking a step forward. "I can take you back to the Frostbourn and they can fix your mind."

"No, you don't understand," she exclaimed. "She's too powerful. It's all I can do to hold her back for just this short time."

"But-" Rain started, before Abigail collapsed on the ground. When she looked up, Rain could see that one of her eyes had turned white again. She grabbed her head in agony, seeming trying to hold back the Nether Queen.

"Run," she pleaded. "I can't hold her back much longer."

Rain took a step back, his heart breaking.

"I'll be back for you Abigail." he promised. "Just hold on."

"Run!" she yelled. Rain obeyed, turning and running as fast as he could. Before he had gone very far, he heard a scream from the clearing, and knew that the Nether Queen was back in control.

Rain ran all the way back to the Frostbourn, not looking back once.
