Talking to my parents was the worst idea I ever had in my whole life.
When I reached the house and stepped foot in the house I lived for so long, it almost brought all the traumatic experiences I had with my parents. The way I tried to please them, to make them happy. I did everything I was told. While I was never the perfect child and student, considering the track record I had when I was in high school, I was never a failure. At least I consider myself not a failure. I don't know about my parents.
I stopped talking to Derek when they found out I was in a relationship with him. I took that chance because I really wanted to be happy and just never wanted to think about my homophobic parents. I was happy. But then someone tipped me off and they were really angry.
They had to ask if I was gay, how long this was going on, and that I was going to hell if I continue that path. The typical rant for homophobic people.
