After much agonizing, Marinette and Damian finally decided on Marinette's new persona. Lady Robin. They had done some research looking for birds that symbolize luck (because Marinette wanted to keep to the bats and birds theme), and they found out that robins fell into that category. Suffice to say, both twins were quite excited by this discovery.

Once they had found a good name, Marinette started on the suit design. It would be mainly pink and black, with mint green accents. She had a black hooded cape with a baby pink lining, and she would have something akin to an armored tunic with a pink R that matched the Robin symbol. She had black pants (also armored) and green combat boots with the same baby pink-colored laces. Her mask was green as well.

The twins had decided that without magic, a yo-yo would be almost impossible to use as a weapon. So, she was wielding her knife and some Batarangs, plus all the usual Batclan gadgets. They were both very satisfied, and, because they both wanted it to be a surprise, they sent it off to their manufacturer without showing any of their family members (except Alfred, they ran it through him first).

Marinette was very excited about going on patrols with her brothers soon. She was starting to get restless without an outlet for all her energy. She hadn't yet started training with Damian, as she had only been in Gotham for a day and a half, but she should ask him when she could start.

Their walk back to Damian's room seemed like a good time.

"Hey Demon, I was wondering, when I would be able to join you in your training?" she asked casually.

"Whenever you would like, I train in the mornings before school occasionally with Grayson, I often train after school, and after dinner the whole family trains in the cave before patrols," he said. Good, she wouldn't have to find a specific time, it would just be before patrols, and after school. Would she be going to school here? She probably would. At least until her Maman recovered.

What would happen once her Maman recovered? That question opened up a dangerous line of possibilities to Marinette, and most of the ones that she saw weren't what she wanted. She had no idea how long she had been silently spiraling, but at some point Damian noticed.

"Angel, are you alright?" he asked. She could hear the concern in his voice. No one else heard it the way she did, and it snapped her out of her stupor.

"I'm fine, I was just thinking," she said. He raised an eyebrow. He was clearly unamused with her answer. They didn't keep secrets, she reminded herself, so she just did what she never felt comfortable enough to do with anyone else. She went out and voiced that question that was torturing her. "What's going to happen when my Maman wakes up?"

He looked away for a moment, he seemed to sink just as far into his thoughts as she had only moments before. But unlike her, he shook himself out of it. "I don't know, but I will never let anyone take you away from me again."

It was all she needed to hear.

That night they spent together in his room again, but this time, there was a lot less sleeping. They spent the night sharing grand tales of heroism, and just in general getting to know each other again.
