At two in the morning, Rosé woke up from her sleep because she felt Rain wake up.

Rain had to go to the toilet and since she was used to sleeping with Rosé, her thoughts were not as smart as when she woke up. She didn't realize that her father wasn't sleeping by her side but complained something about going to the toilet while rubbing her eyes.

Rosé quickly led her daughter to the bathroom. After Rain went to the toilet, she carried her back to the bed. As soon as her head touched the pillow, she fell asleep again. Apparently, she was too tired to play around during the day.

At this time, Rosé was no longer sleepy. She looked at the time, limped to the curtain, and pushed it aside to peek outside.

Jisoo still hadn't come back.

It was two in the morning.

She looked at the empty space across the yard where his car always parked. Rosé slowly released the curtains and was about to go back to bed when Rain, who had just fallen asleep, appeared to wake up suddenly. She opened her eyes and sat down on the bed, asking, "Where's daddy"

Rain's question gave Rosé a strange feeling. When Rain's eyes turned red, Rosé hurriedly picked up the phone and dialed Jisoo's number.

However, no one answered the phone for a long time.

"Where did daddy go?" Rain stared at Rosé anxiously with her innocent eyes wide open. She stood on the bed and asked with tears in her eyes, "Mommy, where's daddy?"

Rain continued to ask with red eyes, looking at her mother like a child who had mercilessly abandoned. The fear in her eyes was so obvious.

Rosé knew that Rain was afraid that her father would disappear again, so she hung up the phone. She sat on the bed and hugged her daughter tightly, trying to comfort her. "Rain is a good girl, right? Daddy went to the toilet. Can you stay asleep?"

Rain looked doubtfully at the open bathroom door. There were no lights in the bathroom. As if she knew her mother was lying to her, she frowned and muttered in a small, upset voice, "Daddy didn't go to the bathroom ..."

"Daddy doesn't want to wake you up, so he went to the toilet downstairs. He'll be right back, so you have to sleep obediently. Daddy will get angry when he sees you crying in the middle of the night." Rosé patted her daughter's shoulder lightly, hugged her, and laid her on the bed. "Come, continue to sleep."

Rain raised her small chubby hand to wipe away the tears. All this time, she frowned and kept looking at Rosé. She wanted to cry, but she didn't dare cry anymore.

"Sleep, hmm?" Rosé smiled as she covered Rain's body with a blanket. "Listen to mommy."

"I want daddy ..." Rain looked at her carefully, as if she was afraid to upset her mother. She said it in a soft voice, with a little cry in her voice.

Rosé pursed her lips and clenched the edge of the blanket with her hand, looking down at her daughter quietly.

"Mommy, I want daddy ... I want my daddy..." Rain kept repeating the sentences with her red eyes and in a small voice. The more she said, the more tears flowed in her eyes. "Daddy doesn't like Rain?"

"No, daddy likes Rain very much. Rain must be obedient and listen to mommy's words. Go to sleep, daddy will be back soon." Rosé gently caressed her daughter's head. "Don't cry, hmm?"

Rain sobbed again. She looked at Rosé with innocent eyes filled with tears. As her eyes opened, the tears that had accumulated in her eyes flowed into her pillow. She looked pitiful and wronged.

Rosé's heart ached as she kissed her little face. "Crying is not good for a baby. Did you forget what mommy told you? Crying can't solve anything. Why don't you just sleep and maybe once you open your eyes tomorrow morning, you'll see daddy?"

Rosé deliberately smiled so that her daughter would be able to sleep without worry.

Rain sniffed. Since she was still a child, although she could understand the words of an adult, she did not have any objections.

She looked at her mother's smiling face with wide eyes. Suddenly she rolled over and hugged the pillow next to her. She buried her face in the pillow and refused to look at her again.

The little girl was angry ...

Even the little Rain knew Rosé had lied to her.

Even she knew that it was impossible for her father to stay by her side forever. Even she knew that her father was gone and may never return.

'Rosé, it took you eleven years to understand this. Rain understood it in an instant.'

'How many failures do you have to survive? How much suffering do you have to face for you to give up?'

Rosé took the pillow in Rain's arm and saw that the little girl was crying sadly. Rain has been sick since she was young, so no matter how much she cried, it was useless; therefore, she learned to obey from the beginning.

But now, her small body curled into a ball, and she cried incessantly as she pressed her head to the edge of the blanket.

As Rosé patted her daughter's back, her mind flashed with the sight of Jisoo driving out of the front yard.

Since Rain was in her mother's arms, she continued crying again. In the end, she cried out loud, her little hand grabbing Rosé's pajamas while sobbing, "Mommy... Why daddy ... Is ... Doesn't...Like.....Everyone else....Daddy..."

"Why can't...Rain....Have a....Daddy...Like....Anyone else."

Rain sobbed as she raised her other hand to rub her nose. Rosé lowered her head and hurriedly used a handkerchief to wipe the mucus on the back of Rain's hand. Her heart ached to see her daughter like this.

Rosé slowly coaxed her, "Rain, be good. Isn't it good to only be with mommy? Wherever you want to go, mommy will bring you to play. Mommy will buy whatever you want. Mommy will send you to kindergarten soon, and then there will be a lot of kids to play with you. When that happens, you won't feel lonely anymore."

"But ...But ... Rain wants daddy ..." Rain cried again. She pressed her face to Rosé's chest, crying until she ran out of breath. "Daddy..."

After about twenty minutes, Rain finally fell asleep. With tears all over her face, she pouted and fell asleep again, but this time, her sleep was obviously not as peaceful as it had been before. She wriggled her body from time to time and even choked up a little in her sleep.

Rosé wiped the tears from her daughter's face and laid her on the bed gently. Afterward, she used a towel to wipe her face and hands. After covering her with a blanket, she heard the sound of cars coming from outside.

She got up and limped over to the window. Opening the curtain, she looked out, only to see an unfamiliar car driving away on the road in front of the yard.

Normally, there were very few cars entering or leaving the villa at this late hour. Rosé thought that Jisoo had returned, but as she saw that car leaving, she gently put down the curtain and turned her head to look at Rain, who was once again sleeping on the bed.
