Vienna's P.O.V
Without any further words, Josh quickly grabbed his backpack, placing it down by his feet, just like I had done earlier.
I continued watching him closely as he started rummaging through his generally empty bag until he landed on his beat up notebook he basically used for every class. He took the item out of it's place, setting it down onto his lap. Josh then opened it, quickly skimming through until he landed on an empty page. The minute he was done, his eyes found their way back to mine.
Josh took a breath, "Alright.. so how should we start?"
Before I could reply, I noticed his fingers start to fidget with the edges of the worn out paper, moving them upward so that they would continuously fall down, making a slight buzzing noise.
I snapped out of my thoughts, shaking my head for a split second. "Um, maybe we should come up with a topic?"
He nodded. "Sounds like a start."
We both stayed quiet, trying to come up with something, "Got any ideas, yet?" He smirked knowing that he only gave me a few seconds to even try to think of anything.
"How about we make it entirely about how much I dislike Josh Kiszka?"
His jaw fell open as he drastically hit his chest, falling slightly over, acting as though he had just been stabbed in the heart.
I laughed, "Oh, stop it Josh. I was only joking.." I contemplated putting a "maybe" onto the end of the sentence, but decided against it, not wanting to have to deal with anymore Josh dramatics that I didn't particularly like.
"Hmm, I'm sure you were."
I rolled my eyes, as we both attempted to get more comfortable.
"Anyway, back onto the topic at hand, since someone can't seem to stay focused." He glared my way.
I decided to stay quiet, slowly slipping my way back into the shell I often took cover in, not sure why I ever left.
I think he noticed as he looked at me once again, his eyes softening ever so slightly, but I chose to ignore it, not really caring enough.
After a few minutes of silence, both of us deep into our unknown thoughts, Josh spoke up, "How about we do our project on something like is astrology real?" Josh offered.
I shrugged, but a slight smile stayed on my face. That is the exact type of topic recommendation I would expect from him. "I'm not really sure. It seems kind of tough."
He scoffed, "Well, don't you read anything about astrology?"
"Well, yeah, but we would dive really deep, just like she told us."
"How hard could it really be?" He seemed extremely adamant on his topic choice.
Josh couldn't have been anymore wrong. It was harder than both of us could've ever imagined. Don't get me wrong, it's a great topic, but to go into that much depth about something not many people have made articles about is a lot more difficult than both of us thought was ever possible.
I had grabbed my computer, attempting to research some quick idea starters, but it showed no use. The minute I searched a few questions barely any information came up that seemed of interest. The exact thing happened to Josh seconds after me, leaving us both sprawled out on the couch, racking our tired brains.
It felt like twenty minutes had gone by until Josh finally spoke up.
Josh perked up, "How about love?"
