A foggy sky like cold glass on warm air

Back against the ground feel the wet grass rich dirt riding up calves and settling behind the caps of knees

Small hands dance with little white flowers and stain themselves with dandelion water

Heels dug into dirt

Nails coated and covered under and over

Hair tangled wildly with footsteps of deer and mice

Forehead and neck and breast raised to the sky with every breath

Shoulders resting in puddles sick with mud

Eyes open to the sky

Closed to the world,

Naturally.
