Giada's POV
My daughter left me. She was my best friend. I miss her so much.
But this is for the best. She's going to be happy, and so is my little sweet angel she's carrying. Alyona is pregnant. I'm so proud of her. She's a little too young, but I believe everything happens for a reason.
"Come on, babe, you have to get up. I know you miss our baby. I do too, but it's for her best. I promise everything is going to be okay." Vladimir's voice was soft as he sat beside me on the bed. He's my number one supporter. I love him so much.
Even though Alyona's absence weighs on my heart, life has been good in other ways. My son, Andro, brought his girlfriend home, and we finally met her. Bria is an angel. She's beautiful, sweet, warm-hearted, and has a lovely personality. I was honestly surprised by Andro's type, but I can see why he loves her.
Speaking of Bria, she's here for dinner tonight. Vladimir made pea soup, and we had pelmeni, one of our favorite Russian dishes. There was also a choice of normal green salad or Caesar salad, and of course, wine to drink.
"This is actually amazing," Bria said, smiling as she ate.
I was glad she was enjoying the meal. Dinner was peaceful, and I cherished the moment. As I ate, my phone buzzed. It was a message from Alyona.
Alyona: I miss you so much, Mom.
I smiled sadly and quickly typed back a little paragraph, telling her how much I missed her too. After dinner, Bria helped me clean up, and I appreciated the gesture.
"Hey, Mom, Bria's staying over tonight. Just wanted you to know," Andro said, walking into the kitchen.
"Perfect! If you want, you can sleep in the guest room. You're always welcome, honey," I told Bria. "Also, if you didn't bring any skincare, I have some in the guest bathroom. Make yourself at home."
I wanted Bria to always feel comfortable here. She was part of the family now.
Later that night, Andro and Bria went to bed, and Vladimir was in his office. This was my alone time. I poured myself a glass of wine, enjoying the peace and quiet—until Vladimir ruined the moment.
"Drinking by yourself?" he teased, wrapping his arms around me from behind.
"Yes, it's called alone time," I said, turning to face him.
He chuckled, and I grabbed him a wine glass too, pouring him some. We went outside to sit by the bonfire he had started. He even brought me a blanket, and we sat there, drinking in comfortable silence. It was my favorite way to end the night.
I snapped a picture of us and sent it to Alyona with the caption: "We miss you ❤️."
Not even a minute later, she texted back.
Alyona: I miss you too!
For the rest of the night, Vladimir and I relaxed outside before heading to bed.
I woke up, but Vladimir wasn't next to me. I got out of bed, made it quickly, and went downstairs, following the smell of pancakes.
Downstairs, I saw Vladimir, Andro, and Bria in the kitchen making breakfast together.
"It smells amazing in here," I said, inhaling the sweet scent of fresh pancakes.
They had made pancakes, waffles, and scrambled eggs, along with a plate of mixed fruits—strawberries, blueberries, and more.
"This breakfast is amazing. Thank you," I told them, truly appreciating the effort.
Today, I wanted to clear my mind and do some shopping. Maybe get my nails done.
