At St Mungo's:
James and Lily are pre-paring to go home with their newborn, Harry. Not knowing what has already happened at their small cottage.
"James sweetie do you think the twins are okay?"
"Of course Lily-pad I think their doing just fine, why do you ask?"
"I don't know, just have a bad feeling."
"Well we are almost ready to go home, am sure its fine."
"uh, okay."
Finally when they finished they decided it would be safest to take the Knight bus. When outside James took out his wand to flag down the bus.

Getting on the bus, the young mother still had a bad feeling.
"James I have a really bad feeling something bad has happened"
Hearing Lily so distress about this feeling made him worried what if something had happened? Either way he tried to stay strong for his small family.
"m'sorry you feel this way my flower, but we can't get there any faster" To this Lily just nodded.
10 minuets later:
Getting off the bus the remanding Potters hurried to their small cottage, to find there front door wide open. Running inside James called for there "friend" Peter but nobody came, the cottage was completely silent.
"PETER!?! PETE?!"
Realizing that their "friend" betrayed them James quickly ran upstairs. Lily quickly put Harry down and rushed to find James staring at the Twins empty cot.
"N-nno they can't be g-gone, J-james n-o."
Looking at her husband before completely breaking down, James just stared at the cot with tears in his eyes before sending a Patronum to Albus, Sirius, Amelia Bones. Then completely breaking down with his wife.
"A-am so-sorry flower i-if I just asked Remus o-or Sirius to watch them n-none of this would have happened" he said in-between sobs
"James i-its alright, n-none of this is your-r f-fault, it's the rats fault." her voice laced with venom when saying the last part.
