When the rioting became an issue, there were people from all over the world criticizing it. This caused BLM to lose a lot of support. But the biggest treason for losing support wasn't this. It was the people who tried to justify the looting and rioting.
There were thousands of people on the internet and in the real world who made excuses to justify the incidents. Some of them even had the audacity to justify the looting by comparing it to the death of George Floyd.
Such immature comments showed BLM in a really bad light. This became the biggest reason for losing support for BLM.
