" so jungkook the very first important step when cooking is washing hands," you explain to him as he nods at you. He washes his hands in the kitchen sink.
" next we wear the apron so that we don't ruin our clothes." you took out another apron for jungkook and pulled it over his head.
" let me help you." you went behind him and tied the apron around his waist.

" Okay, your first task is cutting vegetables." you went to the refrigerator to take out the fresh vegetables.
" for today's lunch, we will be needing tomatoes, potatoes, chillies, bell pepper and onions." he nods at every word you say.
" we will rinse them with water first." you rinsed the vegetables with water and put them on the cutting board. You take out the knife from the holder.

" let me show you," you say cutting the tomatoes in half and then cutting small pieces of them.
" you need to remove the seeds too."

You hand over the knife to jungkook after you were done showing him how it's done. He takes the knife but holds it the wrong way.
" no not like this jungkook, it's like this." you immediately move closer to him holding his hands and showing him how to hold the knife properly.

" and we cut it like this," you say as you cut the tomato while holding his hands. Jungkook couldn't help but feel things as you did so and instead of focusing on cutting the tomatoes, he stared at you.
" it's done like this," you say backing away and taking your hands back to yourself making jungkook disappointed.

"it's your turn," you say folding your arms wanting to see how he does it this time.
" Jae, I'm sorry but I still didn't understand," he says in a low voice looking at you. The reality was that he did understand but he just wanted you close to him again.

" it's okay." you saw not minding because it was his first time after all he needed time too. You again moved closer to him holding his hands and showing him again.

" do you understand it now?" you asked looking up at him but instead, you found him staring at you. " ah, yes," he says looking away.
" you cut the vegetables and I'll prepare the other stuff," you say walking to another counter while jungkook was peacefully cutting the vegetables while smiling like an idiot.

" is this right, Jae?" jungkook asks.
" yep, you're doing good!" you exclaimed surprised to see how jungkook was good at cutting the vegetables.

Everything was fine until you heard sobbing and sniffing noises. You frowned walking towards jungkook to see him crying and sniffing. " why are you crying?" your eyes turn soft seeing him cry. It was the first time you saw him cry.

" did you perhaps hurt your finger?" you asked walking closer to him and checking his hands but you noticed that he was cutting onions. You sighed realising it was because of the onions.
" I feel like my eyeballs are going to fall out," he says closing his eyes while sniffing. You couldn't help but chuckle finding it cute.

" Are you laughing right now?" jungkook turns towards you with an annoyed look.
" I'm sorry, but you're just so cute, jungkook," you said taking the knife from his hands and keeping it away.
" I shouldn't have let you cut the onions." you regretted letting him cut the onions because you know how much of a painful thing that is especially when jungkook just started today.

You hold his arms bringing him to the kitchen sink rinsing his face with cold water as he closes his eyes shut.
" My eyes are burning, Jae!" he yelps.

"I'm sorry jungkook it's all because of me." you can't help but feel sorry for him. You held his arm and guided him to the living room making him sit on the couch as he couldn't open his eyes because of the burning sensation. You took a towel and wiped his face.

" jungkook, you should probably take a small nap. You'll feel better," you said sitting beside him.
" can you stay with me here?" he asks.
" I'm cooking," you replied as you were in the middle of preparing lunch.

" please." you couldn't help but agree seeing how he couldn't even open his eyes because of the sensation.
" fine." jungkook immediately lays his head on your lap and straightens his posture. He holds your left hand and lets your hands rest on his chest. You smiled seeing his actions and bring up your right hand to slowly pat him to sleep.

After a while, you can hear his little snores making you giggle.

You couldn't help but adore his sleeping figure. You slowly pushed away his hair from his forehead and laid a soft kiss on his forehead.
" poor baby," you muttered tracing his cheekbones.
