Mine

Ch. 11

It's been two weeks since the incident with Enzo and I've been giving him the silent treatment. I've been ignoring everyone really. I didn't feel like talking, eating, or living. The urge to drink has grown as memories fluds my mind.

I don't want to remember

People have been trying to get me out of the room but I just ignored them. Except for the one time when the twins threatened to break my door down if I didn't respond to them.

"Emery are you okay?" Dante ask from the other side of the door. I ignored him.

"Are you alive?" "Fuck! why did you hit me?" I'm guessing Dante hit Leo after his question.

"Because that was a dumbass question"

"Em can you please say something. You don't even have to let us in we just want to make sure you're okay. It's been a week and a half." Leo pleaded. I just stared up at the ceiling as tears slide down my face.

Suddenly a loud banging noise came from the door. "If you don't let us know you're okay we'll see for ourselves" Leo continues to kick at the door. Slowly getting up from the bed I walk to the door.

"I'm okay" I said loud enough for them to hear so they can stop. "I want to be alone"

"Emery" I can hear the sadness in their voices but they left me alone.

A distraction. I've been playing games on my phone as a distraction but it doesn't last very long. Sometimes I would get angry after remembering what Enzo did. Then I would remember everything bad that has happened to me causing the anger to build up.

I ended up trashing my room. Breaking lamps, dressers, the TV, the whole room looks like a tornado went through it.

"Next test subject number 935273" the scientist read off of the chart on a paper. I was strapped down to a chair with needles in me and a electrical helmet type thing on my head. "626 you have two minutes to solve this after the injection. If you don't solve it in the time frame... well you know what happens." I get shocked. Giving a nod at the people behind me I feel whatever drug that's supposed to enhance brain activity enter my body.

Looking at the white board my vision began to blurr. Closing my eyes I shake my head and look at the board again. I have to hurry up and solve it. I don't want to get shocked again.

Time was ticking and I was trying to focus on the problem but I couldn't. Whatever they gave me was preventing my mind from focusing.

They lied.

They lied about what the drug supposed to do.

"10 seconds"

Think!

Electricity runs through my body as they shock me "AAAA!!" I scream from the top of my lungs praying that they'll stop, that they'll let me go.

"Em wake up"

"Emery!" Opening my eyes I stare at a worried looking Enzo. Noticing that I was awake he slowly back away from me. "You were having a nightmare. I heard you screaming from down the hall." How did he get in? Immediately I look at the door to see that it is broken. Following my line of sight he sighs. "I'm sorry about the door but I had to check on you. I'll have it fixed tomorrow."

"Thanks you can leave now"

"Em-"

.....

"Em please talk to me. I'm sorry" I ignored him and put the the covers over my head. Childish I know but I just wanted to be left alone. "Can you at least eat something?" I continue to ignore him.
