My New Boss

Chapter 8

James's POV:

I was so busy just doing a load of interviews for a new replacement for Jackie after what she'd pulled that I wasn't even thinking about Clara and how she made me feel.

There was a knock at my office door and my brother walked in.

I gasped and said, "long time no see brother. How've you been Leon?"

"Ye I've been pretty good how about you?" He added in a whisper. "How's, you know, the other job."

"Good. Yes I've been pretty good. I met someone. That's actually been very quiet and I've had no complaints about anything." I told him.

He nodded and said, "good and who have you met?"

I sighed just thinking of her and a smile crept onto my face.

"That special huh?" He asked. "I gotta meet her soon, maybe today?"

"Ye you can meet her soon. She's living with me..." I told him.

He laughed and said, "how long have you two been together?"

"Uhmm... I- its not official yet." I told him.

"Oh?" He said shocked that she was living with me but we weren't dating.

"Ye I was gonna ask her out when I got home and I planned a whole thing for her." I told him.

"You was? Your still gonna do it right bro?" He asked me hopefully.

"Ye I am, I just.. I'm scared that she'll reject me.."

"Nah she won't, have you seen you. Your everyone's type so just see how she reacts and what she says." He told me.

"She works for me so if she does reject me I won't know how to act around her." I told him.

"She won't reject you, your the Mafia boss your not scared of anything. Don't worry." He reassured me.

I nodded and told him he had the job and he walked out in a triumphant grin.

"Wait Leon." I said. "Come to my house, you can live there for a while until you need to go back to New York."

"Ok thanks." He thanked me gratefully.

I nodded and he walked away. I rushed to the place where I'd done the picnic for Clara and where I was going to ask her out. I then rushed home and told Clara that I had found a new replacement.

She smiled in reply and I told her that I think she'd like him. I then asked her if she could help him around and show her the ropes and she nodded and seemed pleased to help.

I then told her to get ready and that she didn't need to wear anything too fancy.

She went up to her bedroom and emerged in a green, black and white top which looked amazing on her, white jeans, a few rings, a necklace, her hair down, a bit of makeup and a beautiful butterfly belly piercing. She looked amazing as she came down the stairs.

I offered my arm and she took it smirking at me. I walked to the car and opened the door for her. She went inside and I drove her to the place.

I took her there and she gasped at the picnic that I'd prepared for her.

I smiled at her as she looked at me in awe.

I sat down and she sat opposite me. I offered her some strawberries dipped in chocolate and she took it. She ate it with a smile and gave me one.

I ate it and smiled at her.

"I wanted to ask you something." I told her nervously.

She looked at me interested and said, "go on?"

"Will you.. be my girlfriend?" I asked her hopefully.

She looked at me, walked by me and made me stand up. She looked me in my eyes and threw her arms around me.

"Yes!!" She said breaking the hug.

I laughed joyfully and gave her another hug and kissed her. We finished the picnic and I took her home.

We arrived and Leon was outside waiting for me because I'd offered him to live with me.

"Hey bro, oh hi, who's this?" He asked me.

"Hi, I'm his girlfriend. Who are you?" She asked him.

"Hi, you must be Clara." He said. "I'm his brother Leon." He hold his hand out for a handshake.

Clara took it and smiled at him. "Hi nice to meet you Leon, yes I'm Clara."

He looked at me and smirked because she had said she was my girlfriend. I smiled at him.

"Right, let's go in." I said to Leon and Clara.

They both nodded and we walked in.

"Is this the replacement for Jackie?" She asked me as I put my arms around her shoulders.

I nodded and she asked, "ok I'm guessing i don't need to show him around?"

"Nah you won't don't worry he knows the place already." I told her.

She smirked and nodded. I still had my arm wrapped around her shoulders so I let her go to go make sure that Leon knew where his room was and she sat down watching Teen Wolf again.

Next parts going to be late because got school work so I should be doing it either this week or next week, I hope to be able to do it weekly soon.
