I've already planned to make Damon and Hope sassy bff's as well as Caroline and Lizzie. I think Josie and stefan will get along well see where that goes.

ANSWER- yes that's true, mainly for the sake of the sorry but their is a good reason. The black magic slowed her healing factor since it was such a powerful black magic spell.
Also if you read closely and pay attention you'll see that while the other witch's like Josie were in hospital still unconscious, Hope is still in pain, yes, but she's also sitting up talking.
Meaning she is heali a lot faster than Josie and Lizzie due to her healing factor.
