You Should Have Joined The Wind

Empty night skies,
Stars collapse under it's weight,
A full moon in darkness,
Hides its hand in shadow.

Awake, I lie in bed,
Outside the wind whispers my name,
Begging me to join it in flow,
I turn away and shut my eyes.

Alone I sit in my head,
Waiting patiently for madness,
I hear her sobs,
I know it approaches.

Louder grows the noise,
Her shape takes form,
I know what's next,
I still dread.

A low horn echoes,
The wind rushes faster,
She screams my name,
I hear metal crush bone.
