The Montague and Capulet families were known for their musical talents. For years, the families have been fighting to see who was the better band, The Blue Jays or The Cardinals. The parents of the newest generations of the bands have retired from their careers as musicians, the fathers of each family becoming the managers of their children's bands. The Montagues and Capulets always hated each other, they were, in fact, rivaling bands. They have been fighting over the #1 band title for years and years, and yet neither could keep it for long without the other taking it back.
Now, their legacies have been passed to their children, Romeo and Juliet, for their respective families. The band members of The Blue Jays are Romeo, as the lead singer, Benvolio on the bass, and their best friend Mercutio on the drums. The band members of The Cardinals are Juliet as the lead singer and guitar player, the family friend, Ms. Nurse's daughter Rosaline on the keyboard, and Tybalt on the bass.
