I know that our love is forbidden. I know that his mother won't allow him to see me because he is the heir to his family's fortune and I am just a poor milkmaid. I mean, his mother should allow us to get married but she says that I'm not good enough. He is going to get married to another woman who is probably wealthy but he says he's in love with me and I love him. I can't believe that his mother cursed me into being a swan just because I love her son. He shot me when I was in swan form but I transformed back into a human and then as I lay there dying he picked up his hunting knife and stabbed himself. The weight of our bodies sank into the lake. My body sunk first and then his body sank after.

The end.
