Clint's eyes began to water as he wrapped her into a hug quickly his body shaking with sobs
"Alexia." He said breathlessly "Your Alexia."
"What?" Laura questioned for Kate, who was too distraught to respond. He kept Kate in a tight embrace but still spoke
"Tasha told me what happened in the red room. She'd fallen in love with one of her trainers who he was she refused to say she got pregnant but the red room found out too late to have her get an abortion so they took the baby from her right when it was born." He paused for a moment pulling away from Kate and looking at her in the eye "But right before they took the baby away she heard them saying it was a girl. She was a girl." His eyes clouded over once more Laura put a comforting arm around him "Whenever she mentioned her she referred to her as Alexia named after her Father." Kate felt her eyes get wet along with his
"Did anyone else know besides you?" She asked gulping down tears. Clint nodded his head bobbing up and down
"Steve did Steve Rogers the two were pretty good friends and so did Pepper Potts I'm sure you know who that is." Kate nodded her eyes glazing over the ground her body shaking with tears.
"I never got to meet her." She said bursting into sobs Clint wrapped his arms around her.
"She would've loved you." Yelena spoke up suddenly all eyes turning to her "She would've loved how strong and independent you were and how you could make anyone laugh." Kate buried her face in Clint's chest her body heaving.
"She's right." Clint whispered in her ear "She would've loved you more than anything. She did love you more than anything." Kate gulped back another wave of tears
"I want to see her." Clint's eyebrow raised as he motioned her to continue. "Can we go to her grave?" She asked her voice cracking holding onto Laura for support feeling like she was going to collapse. Clint nodded his eyes locking with hers
"Of course Katie." For a moment she let herself relax leaning against Clint and Laura, Yelena not too far from them. The laughter of Nate could be heard throughout the house as Lila and Cooper chased after him. For the first time, Kate felt like she fit in somewhere.
