I'm wearing your black fleece cardigan
Wondering how you stole my heart again
Five years gone
And I thought this was done
But you're back in my life
And my heart, you've won
Something about you makes this situation rife*
And something in my heart beats different
No matter how long you've been away
Living in my heart, you don't pay rent
But I love you here anyway
*The dictionary definition of 'rife' describes it as a usually harmful, common occurrence, however, the manner in which it is used for this poem does not include harm.
