Looking to the side you saw Rengoku sound asleep on his side.

You must have been in his arms.
Sliding your finger against his cheek you kissed his cheek softly before heading out. Walking around the house you stopped when you saw Shinjuro sitting outside his room.

"Are you alright?" You asked but he just looked at you before getting up to retreat back in his room.

"I'm terribly...sorry.." you say with a soft smile looking away, deciding no to go down that part of the house. Finding another spot you took out a cigarette and lit one-up.

Sighing you took in a deep breath and exhaled the smoke. The night was silent and the sky was glimmering with stars.

"Maybe I have over lived my time in the oht world..maybe I can live here."

Taking the cigarettes smoke in you heard a pair of feet rushing on the roof before Rengoku jumped down in front of.

Shirtless with only his white pants on he stood before you. "You smoke?" He took one long step stealing the cigarette from your hand.

"This is probably what's harming your endurance." Rengoku burned the cigarette with a flame. "Ha-" before you could even say anything.

"It's cold out." Lifting your bridal style your cheeks flushed red and you were weightless in his arms. Jumping over the roof he was quick making his way back to the room.

Kneeling down he gently rested you back down.
"If Sukuna is your" his cheeks flushed while looking to the side before asking again. "If you are married to Sukuna and we have agreed to share my body and mind."

"Yes... I" your eyes looked at his face as he kept his eyes to the side. "I do see you as my husband as well."

Sukuna laughed maniacally, hearing you admit he is still your husband!

"The thing is Rengoku. It's quite strange for me to grasp this. I've lived a long time but this is just.. an aashole move on my husband's side..

I'm sure you are aware that I'm not a demon but a damned soul. I can never have peace.
This body isn't mine. I shoved a soul away to have this body. This family that raised me. All the lives I've lived and watched grow old before my eyes.

I've gone countless miles to release the ashes of all those dear to me. For creatures like us to remember someone they must have made a significant impact on our lives. Something we call out of the ordinary.

Rengoku, you have unknowingly made me mark you. Something misunderstood about being marked is that humans believe we will follow them forever. At times this is dependent on who marks you. We are all not the same. I marked you during our encounter in the hall.

I was planning on leaving. We can mark someone and continue on with our lives. It's difficult for us not to give into our nature. It was difficult for me to leave in general but now you've made it impossible.

You don't even know me that well, Rengoku. And you are already willing to jump into a situation you don't fully understand. I'm afraid of hurting you Rengoku.

I'm not warm..."

Rengokus eyes finally looked into yours.

He knew you did have an interest in him. Hearing you expel secrets that not even demons slayers knew of. This fueled his stubbornness seeing that you wanted to chase him away.

But Rengoku shares body and mind with Sukuna. These words you spoke he paid close attention to them. But he disregarded them.

"I don't want you getting hurt." you say sadly but he just pulled you in, devouring your lips.

"He can't always control me." He said in-between his passionate kisses. Aware of everything he was willing to go against.

"My flame won't burn out, it'll keep burning for you. I can't imagine what it must be like to remember the pain of losing something. But you can't remember that face." Rengoku was an almost perfect host for Sukuna to have.

Almost.
