"That took longer than I expected," Commander V said to her fleet of grunts as the portal opened. "But now we strike!" As Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina entered Arceus's dimension, the grunts from the Beryl foundation ordered their Alakazam and Reuniclus to use Psychic in order to wrap black chains around the legendary trio.

"Infernape, use Close Combat!" Flint called. Infernape lept into action, smashing the chains before they were able to entrap the legendaries.

"Thanks for covering us, Flint!" Vilnis said. Vilnis then turned his attention to Commander V. "You! What have you done with Akito!?"

"Oh? You mean your friend?" Commander V said, condescendingly. "Just look up. I'm sure you'll figure it out."

"Akito!" Ashley cried. Everyone looked up to see the great Arceus, trapped in a tangle of those black chains. And directly above Arceus, floating in the air was Akito, also wrapped in black chains. "I don't think he's conscious."

"We have to get him down from there!" Marco said. "We also need to get Arceus free."

"Maybe an attack like Glameow's Iron Tail can break through that chain?" Vilnis asked.

"It's worth a shot!" Ashley said. "Plakia, can you fly us up there?" Palkia let out a cry and took flight. Dialga and Giratina followed close behind.

"You three take care of that!" Cynthia called. "We'll handle this down here! Garchomp, use Draco Meteor!" Garchomp launched a blast up in the air which exploded. The fragments of the explosion hit all of the Pokemon in front of them.

"Quick, have Arceus use Judgment!" Commander V said to the grunt who held the tablet. "We can't have those pests foiling our plans again!"

"Yes, Ma'am," The grunt said, pressing a button on the tablet she held.

Arceus let out another painful cry as it released a forceful Judgment attack. Spheres of pure energy came showering down at the legendary trio. They had to evade getting close to Arceus, otherwise they would be hit.

"What do we do now?" Ashley asked. "If we can't even get close to Arceus to break the chain, how can we free it?"

"We'll have to attack from a distance," Vilnis said. "Dialga, can you use an attack powerful enough to damage those chains surrounding Arceus?" Dialga let out a cry as it powered up an attack. Seconds later, a brilliant blue beam was fired directly at the chain around Arceus. There was a cloud of smoke that enveloped the space around them. As the smoke faded, everyone was shocked to see the outcome.

"It didn't do a thing!" Marco said.

"We'll try attacking again!" Vilnis shouted. "Dialga! Once more!"

"You too Palkia!" Ashley added.

Both Palkia and Dialga sent out their most powerful attacks, Spacial Rend and Roar of Time at Arceus. Resulting again in no damage to the black chain.

"Your friends up there won't have any luck in destroying that black chain," Commander V said to Cynthia. "That chain is specifically designed to harness all of the powers of Arceus. It is impossible to destroy."

"Forcing Arceus to do your bidding is unforgivable," Cynthia said. "Now, Garchomp, Dragon Claw!"

"Alakazam! Dazzling Gleam!" V commanded. Right before Commander V's Alakazam was able to land the attack, Ashley's Mega Absol jumped at Alakazam from the side, taking it down with a Night Slash!
