Seeing Deckard was always the highlight of my week. Most days, I focused on my work, getting closer with Mr. Nobody and Little Nobody—who, honestly, was like an eager puppy.
Today was visiting day, which meant I got to hold my badass husband again. The note Mr. Nobody had slipped me earlier only contained my scheduled visit time—boring, but at least it was something.
Thanks to my time with Mr. Nobody, my combat skills had improved, and my hacking had reached a whole new level.
I walked into the site wearing a green coat over a matching shirt, paired with gray pants. My hair was pulled into a bun—just how it should be.
"I'm here to see Deckard Shaw," I said, keeping my tone even.
The guard barely acknowledged me with a nod. "This way."
I followed him, mainly because he had the key card I needed. As he opened the door and stepped aside, I flashed him a polite smile. "Thank you." I bumped into him ever so slightly, lifting the key card from his pocket and replacing it with a fake. What can I say? Old habits die hard.
When Deckard walked in with another guard, they uncuffed him, and I wasted no time running into his arms. He spun me around before pressing his lips to mine, and I kissed him back deeply.
I glanced at the guard. "Don't you have work to do?"
The guy hesitated, then walked off, leaving us alone.
Deckard smirked. "Love, you've gotten sassier every time I see you."
I shrugged. "Yeah, well, I learn from the best."
We spent hours talking, laughing, and stealing kisses until my time was up. Before I left, I pressed a final kiss to Deckard's lips and slipped him a note.
As I walked back to my car, I was already thinking about my next move—blackmailing Mr. Nobody. Honestly, who names their kid Nobody? I had told Deckard that joke before, and he laughed.
Time to have some fun.
