Deckard's POV
I sat in the car, hands gripping the steering wheel as my mind raced. I was ready for what I had to do, but I hated that it had come to this. Isa wasn't supposed to be part of this—this kill, this war—but there was no turning back now. As much as I wished I could protect her from the fallout, I couldn't. Not anymore.
I stared out the window, listening to the low hum of the radio, trying to quiet my thoughts. I texted Isa, knowing she was watching from afar. I could only imagine what was running through her mind. After everything I'd told her, after the truth about my past, there were more questions than answers. But she told me she believed in me, in why I had to do this. Still, it didn't ease the weight on my chest.
When I got the information I needed, I didn't hesitate. I slammed my foot down on the gas and drove straight to where it all was going to go down.
The speed was what I needed, the adrenaline coursing through my veins, keeping me focused. The road ahead was nothing but a blur as I pushed the gas harder. I sped up, entering the race. There, I saw Han's car, and I knew—he knew. He had a hand in Owen's downfall, and that anger burned deep in me. What if Isa had been caught up in this, dragged down with Owen, and hurt like he was? What if she was in a coma, lying in a hospital bed just like my brother? No, no, that wasn't going to happen.
I wouldn't let it happen.
That fear for Isa, for my family, fueled me. I wasn't going to let anyone hurt her. Not Dom, not anyone.
With that, I slammed into Han's car, the impact sending it spiraling. It flipped over, and I got out, my body moving on autopilot. I reached down and picked up Dom's cross, the one that Isa told me about. "It means a lot to him. If you leave it, it means you're declaring war against him."
I had no choice. War it was. Dom was about to get the war he'd been asking for.
I pulled out my phone, My finger hit the call button. "Dominic Toretto. You don't know me, but you're about to." I sent it.
The car behind me caught fire, flames licking at the night sky, but nothing could stop me now. Not Dom, not anyone.
I walked toward Isa, and as soon as I saw her, she was in my arms, holding me tight. She knew. She could feel everything I was going through. "I know you didn't want this," she whispered, her voice gentle but filled with understanding. "Decks, I love you no matter what."
It wasn't enough to erase the pain, but hearing those words from her made it a little easier to breathe.
Author's Note:
So here's the Tokyo chapter, as promised. I'm going back through and editing the earlier chapters, so look out for those updates. For now, I'm going to stop posting updates here on this platform and focus more on sharing news through Conversations, so be sure to check there for future updates!
As for the story ideas... I'm really thinking about doing a Han sister spin-off. I love writing these Fast and Furious stories, and I think it would be a fun direction to explore. I also might write a "Love or Loyalty" story focusing on Brian's sister, and I'd love to know what you think about that! Does it sound interesting?
Also, I've been thinking about Owen Shaw's return to the Fast and Furious franchise. It'd be interesting to see Jason (Deckard) and Vanessa (Hattie) interact with Owen. It would be so great to see the Shaw family together, maybe even helping Dom out for a change. Plus, with Hobbs and Shaw 2 coming, maybe Owen's return is on the table?
By the way, I used to think Luke Evans and Chris Evans were brothers for a while (I know, a bit embarrassing), but then I found out that they're not related! Chris has a brother named Scott Evans, though. Funny how you can get these things mixed up, right?
And as for the whole Vin Diesel and The Rock drama... I think it's something worth discussing. Are we fans still talking about it? Or is it just me? Let me know your thoughts on all of this, and if you're up for brainstorming more ideas or just talking Fast and Furious, hit me up!
I hope you all have a great day and look forward to hearing from you about my ideas! Let me know what you think!
